I think Ghanaians should be burdened by their failure to achieve the lofty heights Nkrumah had set for them. Three generations have passed and they are yet to have a sniff of the lost greatness. Nigeria should be least of their many worries.

Even your leaders plays with your intelligence. Citizens that don't know their rights as citizens. Nigeria is fvcked up right now. But we'll keep praying for you guys, so much love. #makeNigeriagreatagain.

But then;
Hopefully, when this delusional Nigerians (thinking Nigeria is better than Ghana in every aspect) wakes up, there'll be light or something.

I don't think you ve been to any West African country.

Ghana's electricity(with Nigeria's gas supply) is not up to Dangote Group IPP in south West Nigeria alone

here we go again....why use dangote to defend Nigeria or is dangotes money nigerians money....i am not saying Ghana is richer than Nigeria...all am saying is that there resources both human and capital or natural is not even half of ours, yet they have utilized wat dey have to get farther than Nigeria both standard and economic wise....it is said that to who much is given, much is expected...all those countries mentioned above have gone ahead of Nigeria most especially in the economic and security aspect...don't ask me how, you have you internet, google it yourself.

Nonsense, una go see the pure truth but because of the name giant of Africa you'd close ur eyes to it. Oga a spoilt child is a shame to the parents. no, i don't need to knw wat i knw...1 Ghana cedi= how much in naira today?

compare education in Ghana or south africa to Nigeria.

Compare the standard of living to both countries

what about electricty are you even sure you are really a Ghanaian as you claim?

oga, lets call a spade a spade and a tooth a tooth...the Ghana of today beat Nigeria hands down in economic and political growth...expect for our entertainment and sport sector
Ghana economy beat Nigeria economy? If you don't mind I will pay for your transport fare to visit Ghana, just 2 days here will change your perception.. You said 1 cedis is how much in Nigeria?well,maybe right now it may be 1 cedi to 80 or 70 naira, and that's because GHANA decided to remove 4 zeros from cedis,do same with naira you will realize that 1 cedi will not even be equivalent to 50 kobo.and the sad reality is that the removal of the zeros has no positive effect on the economy.as will speak now a battle of water cost about 3 cedis here,whereas it cost far less in Nigeria. So if you compare the purchasing power purity you will find out that Naira is far better.less I forget,90% of the food consume here are ship in from Nigeria, because things are cheap there.my dear sis let's put aside sentiment and face the fact,Ghana is not in the league of Nigeria.

Nigeria won't move forward until we start telling ourselves the truth. We seem to pride ourselves in failure. Nigerians should find time to travel to other African countries and be amazed. They might not have the money we have which makes it all the more amazing. I mean Ethiopia manufactures fibre optics cables. They have their own airline. Then someone will come and argue that Dangote can buy Ethiopia and its airline. True but is it a thing of pride? How does Dangotes money help me and you? Why does he have so much and many Nigerians still feed on less than a dollar? OK oh. Make we dey boast over mediocrity.

no, i think you are the one being sentimental here...1 ghana cedi is equivalent to 81.49 naira...and i don't get how the removal of zeros affects the equivalence or exchange rate or didn't you learn signifant figures in primary and secondary school...so what this implies is that if i buy a commodity worth 1000 naira in nigeria, i would be buying that same commodity for 12.35 cedis in ghana...so 1000naira=12.35 cedis, how does that make naira better than the cedis or its purchasing power?

My comment here about this whole issue about comparing both countries is this. ThankGod i have been to both countries. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Its left for you to accept which you view as being a better nation. Firstly the issue of corruption is in both nations but higher in Nigeria due to the enormous wealth in the nation (crude oil). Ghana has a lesser population than Nigeria, and fewer tribes/ethnicities than Nigeria. Any nation with a large population, and diversity like nigeria is bound to face such kind of problems facing nigeria today because you find different people with different interests. About development, i think despite corruption, Nigeria is far ahead of ghana, in Ghana aside accra and kumasi, most of their other cities remain poor and rural. Compared to nigeria where by almost all the 36 states now have universities and airports with a few good looking buildings even though there is mismanagement but this is everywhere. Now military, nigeria has by far a stronger military than their Ghanian counterparts, I doubt if a country like ghana could cope with an issue like boko haram if it was in their borders. One major thing i noticed about both citizens is that Nigerians happen to be very unpatriotic unlike their Ghanian brothers. But when you talk of the people, i believe Nigerians are more hardworking than Ghanians in my own point of view, other sectors like entertainment and sports, for that we all know there is no base of comparison, nigeria takes this ones. For education, ghana has a relatively better education than Nigeria. Then economy, i think here also there is no base of comparison, lagos state alone in Nigeria can be compared with the Ghanian economy. 1 cedi being stronger than even the yuan (¥) does not still make Ghanian economy stronger than the chinese. Mind you despite that, food is more expensive in ghana, just a bottle of water in ghana can buy you almost 3 bags of pure water in Nigeria, Ghana depends on food exports from Nigeria also. Both countries share same issues of unemployment and poverty among a percentage of their population..For crimes, it is everywhere but higher in nigeria maybe due its relatively higher population than ghana, so that is much expected. About electricity, don’t be misinformed. Even in ghana electricity goes off atimes but it is still better than in Nigeria. In conclusion, in my own opinion, despite the challenges, i think for now Nigeria is ahead. My advice is nigerian media houses should learn to portray the good side of their nation than bad, I think they are part of the problems nigeria faces. Also Nigerians need to be more patriotic, united. Your major challenges for now are corruption, security and some sort of political instability.

For the Ghanaians, you should love and embrace your neighbours, you are also getting there. Keep it up
