After getting your PVC and queuing under the sun and rain, you hear election results and wonder if it was all worth it.
The problem is not even the youth, the useless elders are just using this as an excuse.
What happened to the #EndSars campaign, the many campaigns the youth has championed.
Come 2019, go to the north and see infants voting, you dare not complain.
Previous elections you get plenty eye witness reports with video records showing elections how many did we get from the north.

I am more bothered about the price money. It is too much money given to bunch of idiots for doing nothing.

It is more than three times the price money for the winner of ''who wants to be millionaire'' in Nigeria.

I don't even think a nobel prize is worth 45 million.

Nigerian youths don't always want the truth. The same way they turned deaf hears to MMM until it did its damages. Let the parties field qualified people first.

That is solvable. What is the procedure to register a new political party? If there is none, perhaps that's where the change should begin. They say madness is when you keep doing the same thing, expecting different results. See, when there's competition or other options, politicians try harder to please because they don't wanna lose votes. If you think you got what it takes to move your country forward & challenge the status quo, start your own political party. Study the demographics in your country. Is there more youth than old people? That way you'll know your "target market". Once you've achieved that, the next step is to make sure that your party values reflect the hopes & dreams of your target age group. Parties like EFF have done just that. They were smart about it, they're targeting the youth & gaining new members with every failed term by the majority party. They even have a "trendy" uniform, to make sure that the hooks go even deeper. Take all of that into consideration if/when you think of coming up with a party of your own.

Don't forget those countries hosting the UCL final and FIFA world cup do not have as much problems as we have here.

The problems are simple but in this cesspit you find out the easiest things are the hardest things to do. All the parties are ine and the same. their vision their goals all sound alike. Coupled withthe fact that its the same people who set up those parties. Lets talk about reasons for setting up those parties. You find out that one person (or group of persons)was not happy in one party and the source of the unhappiness is usually about money or favours. Lets talk about the electorate. When you come to a country where no one cares about the next personand everyone is only interested in what benefits him and his immediate family, you know thay you have a problem. Tribalism too hasnt helped either. For some Its not that monies are being looted but who is looting. a man from my tribe can loot , no problem but someone from another part of the country dare not. For some they have been bought.... some for as low as 16.5 Rand ... others a little higher.. you hear of people being bought for a measure of rice , salt, .... There are many youths who believe that older means wiser so why vote a younger person who is mote reckless.
There are so many challenges to doing what is right here. I can write here all day and it wont be enough
