its not about dependence, you even see some that are okay financially dragging with other family members wey never chop, it takes a determined mind to letgo of family inheritance.
eg, see the way Ojukwu offsprings dey fight over property, they are learned and well to do with even each getting one asset that can cater for financial needs, yet dey no like am.
I just pray make my kids no fight/kill each other over property, or make i even gather all of them put curse for ground in their presence.

Letting the first son take the building will even harbor more hatred within the family. So other siblings deserves to hustle while only the first son takes everything. That's unfair.

What's wrong with selling the building and splitting the cash equally among all sibling. If the first son wants to keep the whole building, he can aswell bring the monetary value of the building for others to share while he keeps it.

So if d first son take d property, remaining children are nobody.......although I'm not after anybodys property but parents property belong to all children ......and must be shared equally........

Lagos, the land of mad people, my compound of 6 sets of room and parlour in Aguda has about 6 different landlords in one house controlling one building.

I'm not getting it...Is it that the faction that go ahead to renovate are just stupid or they have plenty money to throw away

I have a friend whose papa having lost his wife decided to sell their house at Age 80 and give each of his 4 Children N4millions each. The old man just go buy one old Benz and move to his village where he finally rest in peace.

Like say the man has seen this kind thing before.
