You lot were applauding the militants when they started kidnapping expatriates not realising a seed was being sown.

Stop justifying crime.

Let's pray for the safe recovery of the gentleman.

Too bad for the kidnappers, because the Catholic Church has a policy of not paying a dime to rescue kidnapped priests, if the church paid kidnap ransome, all Catholic Priests would be target. The only opportunity these ignorant kidnappers have of making any money from this kidnap is if the said Priest is from a rich family, but unfortunately, he appears not to be. They better let the Priest go and do better research before their next kidnap, moreover I hope the law catches up with them soon.

I have been in Edo state for the past two years and it's appealing and saddening at the rate in which priests and religious have become targets for the kidnappers. Around this same week of Easter last year, A Jesuit priest was kidnapped. Late last year, about 6 Reverend Sisters werkidnapped and held hostage for over 2months. Now this one. This men and women have given themselves to the service of the people of God. Why are they now targets?
I know I can't answer this question, but all I pray for is the safe return of the young priest and d grace of consolation to all his loved ones.
