moscobabs:Sir Tafawa Belewa didn't build the bridge. If you were familiar with the workings of the regional governmental system practiced then you'll know that it was financed by the Eastern regional government as well as the Western and a Mid-Western regional governments. He did commission it being the then prime minister. |

| Re: How People Traveled To Onitsha Before The Construction Of The Niger Bridge by uchennamani(m): 2:49pm On Apr 10, 2018 |

uchennamani:The whole bridge wasn't destroyed, it was only the onitsha end that was destroyed, more than 75% of the bridge was still intact after the onitsha end demolition. It was simply to halt the advancement of the Nigerian troops from the Midwest. After that, the incursion mainly came through Benue/Enugu. What Gowon did was to rehabilitate and reconstruct what was left of it. |

The same exercise was supposed to go on in the East when Ifeajuna a traitor deviated from their plan to kill Zik and Akanu Ibiam.. Ifeajuna is the idiot we all have to blame for the mess in Nigeria. Him and his cursed generation. Nzeogwu was a Niger Delta man.. |
