After the flooding in Houston, a lot of cars showed up in the market. They look nice and shiny after serious detailing. I know a lady who is cursing the day she bought a Totoya Corolla 2015. When the mechanic opened the dashboard, it was a mess. It will cost less to buy a new one than to get that car running right again. Cheap price is not always what it seems. Insurance adjusters have ways of determining if a car is a total loss or not(of course considering that cost of labour in US is on a very high side).

Volvo products are notorious for transmission and electrical problems. If the OP hasn't paid for this S40, I will advise that he stay away from it.

For almost 6 months now, been driving the car from time to time, still yet to see the hidden structural damage. Maybe like u said, I don't really know what cars are all about.

Well you might be right there.The fault if any your car might have does not neccary mean its undrivable in 9ja, simply put, it wont pas a smog or MOT test abroad.60% of cars in 9ja wont pass MOT test.Dont 4get we have no issue about cars imported the only issue as simple as it may seem is this POST FULL DISCLOSURE OF YOUR CAR BEING SOLD PERIODThere is no need for long thing, well some dealers are complying as we speak and we wish them ones happy sales.weather car bad or flood or smashed, people will always buy, We need Honest people to facilitate this,We should not be made to derv deep into your personal matter as dealer.Just do your bit full vehicle stat and VIN, people will still buy.

You know, the interesting thing is that you guys seem to think the reason this car is not yet sold is because I'm being "dishonest", not doing "full disclosure" or didn't provide VIN, what can I say

The personal info u talk about is nothing, I'm a public person sort of, majority of the people reading know much details about me than what that fella could pick out on my fb page, it's only those of u who haven't met or done biz with me that keep coming here to speak English on my matter.

Oga, this car is not bad, neither are any of the cars I EVER put up for sale here, any other English you guys speak on this matter I'll just watch, I've never been to the UK, I don't spend pounds but I'm sure I have a better conscience than most of the people trying to form holy here on NL

I don't sell bad cars and If I ever decide to be pasting VIN on my ads, it won't be because anyone bullied me here or stylishly threatened that I can't sell without posting VIN, I'll rather let the real buyers decide

If thats all you understood from all of my message then you are truely missing the point, waht is there to bully you about when it involves posting neccessary infor on a car you put on a public forum to sell so that buyers alike could make informed decission if to call your phone for a vist?
This is a case of police arrresting you not puuting on ur seat belt when in reality its for your own safety.
NB SO all these Long epistle are for a simple request for you to upload VIN.

But let's just keep that aside for a moment, you've seen this car VIN and history posted by Cosplay, I confirm that its the correct vin for this car. Now are you saying that you believe in all honesty that if you asked me to provide VIN to check this car(devoid of all the bullying you guys started to dole out to my moniker after the explorer thread) that I would be scared to provide it for fear of you not purchasing this car? Pls answer honestly

Ok if you noticed, I have not pinned my post on one car, its in genral .Im not only having a go at you but all who deal cars on here.Look I have done all parts of car Biz,so Im not new when I was in my late 20s new in Europe we dey ship 10 to 15 cars once nothing do us.But there is a reason I stopped selling cars,I think its a waste unless pre ordered and it would be for close friends and fam.That apart,Im not just targetting you, not at all,I for one do not know you in person.I only know few person from here in real life.NO from past post you would have seen dead car woken up only to be sold as accident free, Im sure you must agree with me on this one.So to this end I would also like to share the other part of the biz with you since you are not an importer but sales person.cos i understand that the true stat of the car might not be made known to you.
Now If I was you Mr X calls me he has a car he want to sell @ xy% to me after sales and gives you prize range, do a VIN check yourself to establish true stat of car.re-evaluate sale prize armed with this new info, if Importer refuse to buldge, protect your name and move to a next car.
But if importer agrees with you the by all means list VIN and all Info,VIN is not free, however some services offered here are very cheap ie N2k, and more are way cheap.
I would be happy to buy a car with rear impact fixed right now than buying a car fixed and later find out it has side impact.

I don't know you personally, but if I were to judge you I'll assume you're a sort of person who just feels he's much better off than his peers even without knowing the true level of the person in question.

I said this cos the entirety of this last comment is founded on the fact u assume I'm just a 'sales person' and don't own cars which they sell, pls next time don't use Nl posts to judge people, do some factfinding. Now pls assume I'm the owner of the cars I sell and rephrase your answer to my last question

NB : As I see you're not conversant with all biz models in car biz, let me inform u that there are some people who sell Toks but don't like tying their cash down for months waiting for cars to arrive from abroad, they buy directly from people who've imported and want to sell off at the port, and that's what I prefer mainly

It’s simple. If a car would actually command $10k on the market, why would you take it to a place where it’ll be sold for $5k? Clearly something is amiss!

There are other auctions, that sell clean title vehicles, such as Mannheim, AAA etc

Because some dealers have certain standards and car that doesn’t meet that standard gets sent to auction. Small dealers like me hope to get those traded in cars before they go to auction.

Say you’re a Jaguar dealer and someone comes in to buy a brand new Jaguar but they have a 2010 Camry as a trade.

They don’t deal in Toyota, they have no interest in trying to sell used Toyota’s in their fine British dealership. It may be an insult to proper English gents to be seen next to a Camry - shudder.

So they’ll offer the seller trade in to keep him happy and they’ll promptly sell it to the auction.

The auction won’t ask questions, won’t ask for test drives, won’t ask for finance, etc

Very valid, even though this is a given (probably 1 in 1000) but then again, we’re back to where we started. Why doesn’t copart sell this to a used toyota/Lexus dealership for say $8k ? Why auction it for probably half that price ?
