Nigerian rapper, Olamide has finally laid his mother to rest at the Ikoyi cemetery last week. Report has it that press men were absent from the occasion which was private and for family members and invited friends alone.

The cause of her death is not known, but it is reported that she died on the birthday of Olamide’s son, Maximilliano.

The rapper had taken to social media to celebrate Maximilliano on his birthday where he wrote on his Instagram page, “Happy birthday, Batifèori Maximiliano Adedeji, more life young King, from Dad, your best pal.”

About 4 hours later, Olamide took to the same Instagram page to mourn the loss of his mother by displaying a black background with the caption: ‘Orisa bi iya o si’, meaning “There’s no goddess like a mother.”

Maybe I'm d only one thinking this way but whenever I see such news, my thought is.. So this is the mother who birthed and raised this boy who talks abt nothing else than bosom, yansh, whine waist, kondo, I want to do sina, furo rabata tiya bumper, e fun mi ni olosho etc. And he used the money he gets from videos where girls go against morals in their dressings to take care of his mother. And shes proud to see her son do so. Its just somehow.

I'm a fan of rap esp dagrin, whose rap was more like comedy to me but olamide's nonsense talk in raps is just too much.

Well may her soul rest-in-peace.
