Almost all systems r local so cost will be less.

If foreign systems r included only then the price goes up

What I found interesting is the inclusion of IFF
Yes, the military engineering program over there is great. You have almost all sector covered and I think I'll give that to the government commitment. It's very impressive.

Government commitment is genuine only for this present government.

Previously it was not worth the trouble. Only mouth action grin

However I kind of disagree wrt the military engineering program , there remains much more to be desired.

It is operating at around 30% of its capability.

Active private sector participation can only jack it up to 80 % of the capability.

Anyways

Well it is surprising I found out that proforce has a office in Ind..

Proforce has international offices. That's the international operation manager.

Operating at 30% and still producing such high tech military gadgets is a whole lot. Here in Nigeria, I doubt we're operating at 2%. Just look at the almighty DICON. The Nigerian airforce out of all the Armed forces in Nigeria has the best military - civilian partnership/ relationship in defence manufacturing.

Our research and development is very weak here hence why I don't find partnership with our higher nstitutions to be interesting as they only offer basic technological capabilities. Maybe my expectation is extremely high but I'm not satisfied. Nevertheless, I blame it all On the government.

Universities in the west spend millions on facilities and R&grin while we're still struggling here. Alot of students are just book smart but can offer nothing interms of real world experience.

I'll be glad if government here can commit into technology. Watching of technogical expo and touring the products shows alot about our extremely weak capability.

Regarding the proforce office , my statement was wrongly worded , I meant the services they r offering, becz private companies dont invest if there r not profits present or future to be made. They also have office in UAE I believe. Proforce is part of a nigerian multi national conglomerate.

R & D has to start from the grassroots from the technical colleges at graduate level then to post graduate level to PhD level then to specialised R & D centres.

it has to be a pan national initiative with massive investment in resoirce and capability development in infrastructure etc at all levels. The gains r not visible immediately but takes time and one of the reasons why politicians r loath to initiate such reforms becz they cannot reap political gains from it in the short term.

Therefore it must be made part of constitutional mandate free of political mandate to support R & D development.

Communication integrated warfare system

It consists of

Control centre

Radio relay repeater station

Short direction finding base station

Reconnaissance and direction finding station

Cellular communication interception system

Jammer station HF

jammer station V/UHF

this EW system is unique becz in addition to conventional warfare it is optimised to fight LIC (low intensity conflicts) ie against foreign state sponsored terrorism activities.

Close up of Rudra rotor
I believe it is a bearing less rotor

When the Germans was contracted decades ago for ALH , they proposed advance technologies which was not in use anywhere , basically ended up using the ALH as test bed to check the validity of the ideas, later when the technology could not be developed they left leaving Ind... to develop it which they did after lots of work and cursing at the Germans. grin

Since Robert Fisk published this article no reputable Western media has found it necessary to interview him. Clearly, the truth and reality doesn't fit the established narrative.
