Alright sir.. What am trying to encapsulates is that, a Geophysical survey would give us the above information being sought by you.. As the survey would reveal the depth.. The depth helps determines the Drilling depth cost, installation costs et al..

Because the Geophysical survey report would reveal if the basement is stable or loose, the overburden depth , was "case down" or "hanging" recommended? and Many more... The survey would reveal this.. This would enable us to be able to give you a price.. As these factors also determines the price

You should be able to give a range , a range is not same as a quote and a quote is not an invoice but all works have a range . I believe Egunmogaji is on point.

No serious driller will give such a varying figure.

Should be more like:

“For Elebu area with it’s blah blah soil type we charge NXX per meter. With your alleged 110meterit will be NXXX

Please note that this is merely a rough estimate and we would need to see the survey to give a more accurate estimate.”

Why bother the guy? I think you should cut him some slack. If he tells you around N100k, someone else might underbid him. My way is to talk to the guy privately, get the quote/estimate and then throw it out openly to ascertain if it is a fair deal. The level of disclosure you expect will be difficult to obtain.
