Do not make unlawful the good things which Allah has made lawful for you." [Sura 5:87]

Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah and Salama bin Al-Akwa':
While we were in an army, Allah's Apostle came to us and said, "You have been allowed to do the Mut'a (marriage), so do it." Salama bin Al-Akwa' said: “Allah's Apostle said, "If a man and a woman agree to marry temporarily, their marriage should last for three nights, and if they like to continue, they can do so; and if they want to separate, they can do so." I do not know whether that was only for us or for all the people in general. Abu Abdullah (Al-Bukhari) said: 'Ali made it clear that the Prophet said, "The Mut'a marriage has been cancelled (made unlawful)."

So tell me, my dear “morally sound” muslim what these two Hadiths mean? Your “prophet” was telling his followers that they can enter into something called a “temporary” marriage which can only last for three nights. The man will pay a token dowry to the woman and after paying her dowry, he becomes her husband for three nights. During those three nights, the man and woman can do all the things that a married couple are entitled to do, but once the three nights are over, they each go their separate ways.

This idea of “temporary” marriage invented by your prophet sounds suspiciously like a coded word for prostitution.

If you can point out anything in Christ’s teachings that is similar to this Islamic prostitution which was invented by “prophet” MOOhamad, then kindly post it on NL for all of us to share.

If you can’t prove that Christianity encourages prostitution then I suggest you go for a paternity test. I’m sure you get the hint.

Perhaps it is not a sign of civilisation. But it is certainly a sign of open-mindedness. I remember they tried something like Big Brother in Saudi Arabia but it had to be cancelled after just one season. Why? Because one of the female participants hugged a male participant after he was evicted from the first show. Immediately thousands of angry muslims started calling for the woman to be publicly flogged and that was how the Big Brother experiment ended in the Middle East.

I don't like Big Brother and I have never watched any episode of the ongoing BBN season, but I am willing to live and let live in the spirit of open-mindedness which is something the average Northerner can never do.
