Kasimu, who was dismissed in 2015 after he was absent without leave (AWOL) for several months from his place of deployment at the northeast.

The Nigerian Army Really needs to work on the welfare of it's soldiers in the Northeast Theatre. These guys are suffering here
No offense but I dont see them complaining. on the contrary they seem to enjoy the wahala they go through and will prefer to vent on the civilians who wishthem well and pay their taxes so they dont go hungry. Meanwhile they worship the ogas who take advantage of them. Na their wahala

Common sense should have told u, that's was before buhari
Probably dasuki squandered his salary

Your hate for buhari shouldn't deprive u the power to reason

Falling out of duty post is a serious offence in the military. He was among the soldiers dismissed in 2014/2015. The moment he was dismissed he himself knows the law not to wear any military hardware until being reinstated. Na him own cup of tea ooo.

How many soldiers have been owed salaries up to nine months

If salaries are delayed, is deserting the solutions?

He was still owed by the government no matter who was president. Where there were such issues the expectation would have been that such would have been verified and arrears paid. That is one of what must necessarily be addressed by the government. Instead, over 3 years down the line, he claims to have gone back to find out the status of his arrears and then gets arrested for impersonation. The point is, such claims should not have been left untreated no matter when they came up. I am sure the Jonathan admin also attended to those who had issues spilled over from the Obasanjo era. Keep counting back that way and we'll stay stuck in an avoidable time warp.

I have never believed in the Buhari/APC government and rightfully so. However, one small part of me always expected that even if he'd be able to do nothing else, he'd fully address the issues of the armed forces and overhaul their services considering his history and 'passion' for security. Instead the rot continues...

Petro-dollars no let am see road so rather than take the portfolio of Defence Minister, he ran to ministry of petroleum. Even that one is at the worst level of corruption, lack of accountability and mismanagement.
Na wa!
Is it buhari that told him to commit crime? Why are u hating on a good and hardworking president? If buhari was your relation will u condemn him this way?

I am speaking of the general wellbeing of the armed forces not isolated to one specific issue. Commit crime? Why did the management withhold his legitimate salary?

In as much as this is neither casting aspersions on this guy nor faulting his story but EVERY soldier is /must be aware of relative laws and policies binding them in the course of duty. Also the penalties!

What you did is disobedience to a particular order and the penalty is a board will determine your fate.If found guilty it's dismissal and jail term.
Am pretty sure know this.

There are processes even if that happens and am sure you know this too.. undecided
