why is Japan's & USA's police forces better than Nigeria then? USA has more population than Nigeria.... and Japan's population is over 120 million (a bit close to Nigeria's own).

People in positions of authority in Ghana don't feel the need to make life difficult for no reason. It begins in the home and continues to public service.

There's a lot of arbitrary nonsense with Nigerian civil servants that needs to end for progress to be made.

I'm not saying Ghana is perfect at all but it's something that Nigerians could/should learn from Ghanaians.

What many of you criticizing your own dont know is that, it is not easy to police a home, let alone a country as big as Nigeria.

There's nothing difficult about policing big Nigeria. The problem we have is that oil money which is meant for the development of the Niger delta wherein it is found, is being unjustly used by the seat of power due to an unjust constitution that nobody wants to correct. This money is used to by bribe the jurisdiction and to remain acting big-man (aka, swallow panadol for headache in London for 4 months). The Nigeria police, is in confusion and hunger. They can be bribed for as little as N50 NOT TO STAND FOR JUSTICE. Yes, they are that hungry.
Have you been to their barracks?
In the affluent Ikoyi, full of all the London and American people, Falomo police barracks is THE SH1T HOLE of Nigeria. Go there and see it. There is literally SH1T on the floor. STINKING PLACE.
The men who are supposed to protect YOU the citizen live upon a pile of sh1t. Some time ago, one of their barracks buildings collapsed due to old age in Ikeja.
How can such a man refuse N50?

As at yesterday, I went to repair my generator while coming back, one police officer stopped me and asked for the receipt of the generator I bought 6 years ago, to his surprise I gave him the receipt, when he discovered that I wasn't ready to give him any money after checking my car particulars and driving license and got nothing to hold me, he started checking for the engine number of the receipt and one last number was not included in the receipt, he seized the generator and was expecting me to give him money. As I write now, the generator is still with them.
They laughed at me that I want to show them sense that I must bring money, I left them with the gen in anger

So a bad police is a function of the country's population and has nothing to do with work ethics of the police itself.

So why dont police in United States hide on every street corner to collect roger from commercial buses and cause needless delay to private car owners in the name of checking vehicle papers? Only California is bigger than Nigeria....
