Why is anyone still surprised by the selfish actions of these criminals? What makes people think they will prioritize payment of salaries over an opportunity to continue looting at the expense of the common man?

Agreed. But don't you think there's an pinch or atom of truth in it? Just thinking . Anyways, we both know there will be some form of donation from each governor maybe and maybe it might not be up to the stated amount. Which ever way you look at it, It is wrong and should be frowned upon .

Not surprising. About 18 of the APC govs are formerly of PDP.

APC = Association of Past Criminals.

It amazes me that people still think that these demonic ogres in government care about them. These soulless beasts could care less if everyone ends up hungry or dead just so long as their insatiable quest for more wealth is achieved.

It is on record that Buhari/Idiagbon administration jailed late Governor Ambrose Alli of old Bendel state and other governors for using state funds to sponsor their parties. Is the same Buhari not supperintending over the same act as leader of the party.

I don't know what to make of Gov Ortom and the APC Benue reps at the national assembly. They are irredeemable sycophants.
The Benue reps were the most vocal in supporting Buhari during the rowdy session over the aircraft purchase saga.
I was also suprised when the rep from Benue with the tiv cap was defending him.

In the best of climes, political parties aren't saint's enclaves. Above all there are approved sources of funds for political parties, viz: public funding, ,donations, loans and membership fees.

The degree of public funding varies from one political space to another. 0% in U.S , some % in Europe/Asia 100% or more in Africa. The common denominator is regulations and compliance to such regulations. It is safe to say that in Nigeria impunity reigns supreme.

The now famous or infamous Dasukigate revelations have shed light on how ruling parties use public sources to fund parties with impunity

It is now imperative that the National Assembly, the electoral commission and even political parties begin to think through the problem so as to come up with legal and sustainable ways of funding political parties in Nigeria.

It is this unbridled impunity that the govt is trying to avoid. By spreading the financial burden among the states it becomes easier to bear and also ensures a communal sense of responsibility. It becomes difficult for a governor to solely decides the outcome of proceedings as Wike did for the PDP.

Long story that doesn’t answer the question about APC stealing and corruption to fund their congress.
You are only dribbling yourself.
