The future conglomerates are being built now through hard work, patience, discipline, and perseverance.

In a post oil economy in Nigeria, these industrialist and businessmen from the East will have a field day.

As for now, oil money is being used to hide the inadequacies of the rest. I can't wait to see things unfold.

Guaze pharmaceutical industries Awka

Brief History
Gauze Pharmaceuticals and Laboratories Ltd was established in the year 1992 but did not commence production until the year 2000. This delay was not due to inactivity but because it took time for the company to develop its products by testing them to confirm their quality.

In the year 2000, the company commenced the production of eight (cool products after receiving the nod from NAFDAC, and the Pharmacist Council of Nigeria (PCN).

The company has maintained a high level of discipline in he pharmaceutical manufacturing business. The company has had a clean ill by the various regulatory agencies (NAFDAC and PCN). This encouraged the company in 2003 to register more products.

Presently, the company over 30 products registered with NFDAC. It is pertinent to state at this juncture that the company has always strove and resolved to produce pharmaceutical products of high quality.

Gauze pharmaceuticals and laboratory limited has four distinct lines (sections) of production namely:
1. The Oral liquid line
2. The External Liquid line
3. The Beta-Lactam line
4. The Powder/ORS line

It also produces packaged water.

Gauze Pharmaceuticals is a wholly indigenous company whose vision is to produce high quality and genuine pharmaceuticals. It started with the production of Oral liquid and liquid external lines and as it grew, it extended to Beta-lactam and powder lines. With time, it intends to include solid dosage forms among its products.

Eva and Delta are imported by Ekulu and Orange Drugs respectively, they are not manufacturing then.

It's very painful that Anambra state with her demand for steel rods for construction doesn't have a steel rolling mill, a glass company.
There is no flour mill in Anambra state, Niger Delta Flour Mill bought by Chagoury Group located at Umunya is now a big evil forest that Lion, tigers and Anacondas might be found inside.

Anambra state need a steel foundry that will be producing steel bars and billets use in building considering the nature of structures we erect.

PZ just have one big for nothing warehouse at Atani Road, Iju and Brifina Industries are gone.

I won't stop saying that Okpoko need to be demolished and the owners compensated, okpoko look like little Ibadan.

GBAM @ bolded above.

You cannot expect to retain wealth if you don't produce what you consume massively.

Apart from massive effort to be self reliant in AGRICULTURE,
I wish entrepreneurs and SE regional government will focus on three key industries

1. Steel rolling plant or revive Niger Steel

2. Cement producing plant or revive NigerCem

3. Solar Panel and Super Heavy duty batteries to hold charge for weeks.

Our forefathers understood very well the key to development and set up those key companies in combination with massive effort in Agriculture. Little wonder the economy of Eastern Region was the fastest growing in the world then. It should be done again.

I don't like Bubu and wish he is voted out in 2019 but the ongoing Onitsha 2nd Niger bridge impresses me a lot because it will open a new corridor cutting across Ogbaru, Ozubulu and busting out at Onitsha/Owerri road with a clover-leaf flyover inter-change to spread traffic.

The new corridor will open up a hitherto forest lands for real estate development and other investments that will line-up the long stretch of the highway. This will further expand Onitsha metropolis to that axis.

Hopefully soon, we can have bright minds figure how to make billions of naira through manufacturing or importing high quality solar panels to make them a standard installation in each home. Just as we now have boreholes as standard installation for water supply and GSM are standard for telephones.
Depending on government to provide power is like waiting on NITEL to provide functional telephones.

nifex ( http://www.nifexlimited.com) shows promise, but i don't know if they are serious. Sometimes, people float companies for other reasons than to produce anything. I hope they are serious about producing steel products as rods and flat sheet panel. They also said they are exploring possibility of a cement factory.

Truly we need a facility that can produce all types of steel required for building and other purposes like the former Niger Steel did

Hey we need to get something clear. The 30 % share of the FGN for The Niger bridge project was already funded by the Jonathan's administration.
Buhari came in 3 years ago and stopped it. But now he wants igbos to support his reelection, he restarted some works.

The fact that some people are already thankful to him shows how easy it is to mess with people's reasonings.

The Niger bridge is a political tool just like Igbo presidency.

Me too. I hope it's the real deal. If so, it is impressive.

Now what we have are mainly touts and thugs as godfathers who bankroll and decide who will or won't win elections. Sadly, the people they prop up or bring forward as the anointed candidate are, more often than not, not the best choice. The chosen one is just the one the godfathers are most comfortable with, who they think can easily be manipulated, who can give them influence when decisions are being made, and one who can guarantee them a 'return on their investment' if you know whara mean! wink
