 The truth is Nigerians still love Rap music But the problem is most of our rap artistes are either singing RnB or into choruses now Instead of them building on their genre, they started to move with the trend. If you bring Nasty C to that stage, Nigerians who love rap will still sing along with him. Rap music is among the few that is all about passing a message and the same time, letting a flow. Most Nigerian rappers have lost this too. I think MI was the last rap artist we had 11 Likes |

Rap music is popular worldwide but Americans are generally considered as the pioneers of the genre and rap artistes from other countries/languages are not viewed as "authentic". This is unlike reggae music that is more open to artistes who are not necessarily jamaicans. P.S.
