Katsina state government and Dangote group of companies are finalising arrangements for the take off of a Rice Out growers scheme aimed at boosting rice production across the state.
Under the arrangement, selected farmers are to be engaged and supported with improve seeds,farm implements for massive production of rice which shall be bought over by the Dangote group.
Speaking after a meeting with governor Masari,The president and CEO of Dangote Group of company said in few weeks to come his company will commit huge amount of money to support rice farmers through Private Out grower Scheme.
He said Dangote compnay shall provide all the necessary inputs and implements to farmers and also uptake the produce at the end of harvest.
In his remarks, Governor Masari assured of his administrations to support the new drive aimed at empowering farmers and boosting economy of the state noting that agriculture has remain the surest way of advancing the state and country at large.
