BEWARE OF POLITICAL MASQUERADES IN THE CHRISTIAN FOLD STATEMENT BY THE FORUM OF UNITED NIGERIANS AGAINST DIVISIVE ELEMENTS, FUNADE This Christian Awake message is either from politicians masquerading as concerned Christians and there are many or from a truly misinformed concerned person. But let us set out the facts. There is no truth at all in the allegation that Buhari is a Jihadist or is in support of Fulani herdsmen killings. Let us first remind ourselves that it was under a Christian President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo that 12 Northern States of Nigeria declared Sharia law. If this had happened under a Fulani President, you can imagine what the religious politicians would say. Second it was under a Christian President, Goodluck Jonathan that the Boko Haram insurgency arose. The religious politicians who were benefiting from Jonathan, who he gave N7billion in February 2014 to share amongst themselves, then said Buhari and APC were Islamists who were behind the Boko Haram to make the country ungovernable for Jonathan. The lies continued until Boko Haram attacked Buhari in Kaduna, killing five of his family members and aides and nearly killing him. The same Boko Haram under Jonathan abducted 200 largely Christian girls from Chibok. The government did nothing. It was Buhari’s government that eventually started bringing them home. We May have forgotten that under the Christian Jonathan’s regime that Boko Haram attacked police headquarters and UN offices in Abuja. They attacked churches and mosques, schools and other public places all under a Christian President. A few examples: On January 6, 2012,12 persons and 12 Christian worshipers were killed in the twin attacks in Adamawa State. Also on February 25, 2012, A Boko Haram suicide bomber detonated himself at a church in Jos, Plateau State, killing 6 worshippers. In April, suspected Boko Haram gunmen attacked a church in Kano and Maiduguri, where at least 19 people were killed. On August 12, 2013, an attack on a Maiduguri mosque killed 56 people; and in November 3, 2014, a suicide bombing attack in Yobe State killed 15 Shiites. Between January 2012 and May, 2015, there have been several attacks on churches. For instance, on June 7, 2012 in Kaduna State, 19 persons were killed in bomb attacks against three churches. On August 7, 2012, Boko Haram gunmen killed another 19 persons when they attacked a Deeper Life Church in Kogi State. Similarly, on December 22, 2014, a suicide bomber detonated explosives at the gates of a church during service, killing 8 persons. And on New Year’s day on January 1,2015, a suicide bomber died in an attempt to bomb ECWA Church II, behind the State University in Gombe. In the same period farmer- herdsmen clashes took place in Benue, Plateau, and other places. How is it that the authors of this write-up pretend not to know that Fulani herdsmen have killed more people in Zamfara, (an almost 90% Muslim State,) than both Benue and Taraba put together? And that almost everyone killed is Muslim? Or that over 800 Fulanis were killed in the Mambilla Plateau? So the attack on a church in Gwer local government by mad men at 5am in the morning must be blamed on the President. Where is your sense of fairness and justice? Why is it that you cannot see the hand of politicians desperate to discredit Buhari on his security credentials in this? What better way to create chaos and blame it on the President than walking into a church and killing worshippers? Where have you heard before that Fulanis many of whom are Bororos not even Muslims will go and attack a church? Why have you not blamed the bombing of mosques in Adamawa State where dozens died last November on Buhari. So the fact that a Fulani is President and there are clashes basically over land and water means that it must be his fault? Everyone who falsely accuses another of murder will not escape the judgment of God. Christians must not be propagators of falsehood especially sponsored by the opposition most of who want to return to continue the open and despicable looting that Buhari has now stopped. By the way, the choice of Yemi Osinbajo in the ACN, ANPP, CPC, New PDP alliance that brought about the APC, was not Buhari’s choice. It was the choice of the Tinubu- led ACN. An alliance essentially between the North and the Southwest of Nigeria. In two previous failed presidential campaigns of Buhari, his running mates were from the South East: Ume-Ezeoke and Chuba Okadigbo. So it's simply nonsense to suggest that Buhari chose Osinbajo in order to buy the silence of Christians. By the way I heard a speech made by the Vice President at the Deeper Life Church last Tuesday, this is the link, ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aItZKojLN6g) it will probably help you to see that this man is God sent to us at this time and as believers our job is to uphold him in prayers like Mordecai and the whole lot of Jews for Esther. The truth will prevailed

maybanks:The truth will surely prevailed... Some people are seeking power for personal gain, to acquire more wealth and make life miserable for the citizens and forget the reason they were being elected. Some are God sent to deliver us from the mess of the past administration, the end will justify the means. God bless Prof Yemi Osinbajo for his diligent work and competencies, Ride on. |

Idiots. The terrorists that you are justifying and defending arrogantly are not divisive, it's those calling for self-defence that you wish to attack. Hypocrites, can you show us where you condmned the killings since time immemorial if your are not demonic? [s] maybanks:[/s] |

PMB's men have fuelled some of this narratives we hear today. The utterances of the police IG and minister of defence about the Benue killings were very biased and provocative. The difference between the killings in the predominantly Muslim North East and the Christian Middle belt is this: -Thousands were displaced by Boko Haram but they have a hope of return one day. Born Gov recently commissioned some houses built by UN agencies for displaced residents. - In the middle belt it is a land grab. Even while in IDP camps the lands and farms of the indigenous inhabitants are taken over by herdsmen. The fulani herdsmen are an army of occupation in the middle belt. |

Is it Christians that asked Buhari to tell Benue people to go and live peacefully with their fellow human beings when they are being killed? Is it Christians that instructed Miyeti Allah Cattle Breeders to tell the whole world that there would not be peace unless the anti open grazing law is reversed? Is it the divisive Christians that mandated the Inspector General of Police to declare the massacre of Christians as a communal clash? Whatever you do in your paid duty to defend your bosses, always remember that God is a consuming fire. It was your type who deceived the Christians in the north that once they voted for Buhari the killings would stop, but the killers have developed extreme confidence now more than ever before. Even with the allegations that killings happened under past Christian presidents, suspected killers then were apprehended and charged to courts for judicial pronouncements. Several hundreds were arrested by the law enforcement agents and remanded in prison custody. As you write your epistle, did you ask yourselves how many suspects in these killings under Buhari have been arrested and being prosecuted? Instead of that, the suspected killers arrested under the past governments who are facing trials in courts have been pardoned and released in their hundreds. Among whom are extremely violent individuals suspected of being behind the attacks you listed in your epistle. It is better to fear God. For God is a consuming fire. Nothing tells you that posting Osinbajo's political statements in a religious gathering won't improve the battered image you have forced everyone to have of your government. If it would, you won't have to be reposting it for propaganda sake. Everyone would have been talking about it. It would have calmed tension in the polity. You would not have been here wasting government resources reposting it. Only a few people feels that such statements make any meaning. The speech is meaningless. No one takes that kind of speech seriously. It sounds hollow. Osinbajo has spent the last three years almost telling Christians to shut up. He boasts everywhere that he is the embodiment of Christianity in the Buhari administration. He is called upon to come and talk down on Christians whenever concerns are raised. He lets Christians know that his personal comfort in government is representative of the comfort of Nigerian Christians. When two Christian women were killed for their beliefs in Kano and Kubwa, Abuja, it was Osinbajo that was sent out to spin the narratives. He made the killings look like it's a normal thing. Arrested suspects were promptly released without diligent prosecution. Victims families were probably compensated with money, as if that is all there is to human lives. No sense of justice. And he is a lawyer. A Senior Advocate of Nigeria. A professor of law. |

This write up is very annoying. Let the govt stop the ethnic cleansing in the middle belt. Then no one will talk politics You cannot deceive Nigerians or the international community. They are watching Buhari and his appointees body language. |

I don't understand why Nigerians are so sentimental. Some of y'all here calling buhari and his aides terrorist has refused to be fair in your comments. Killings in Nigeria never started in buhari's regime, it has been traced way back before his administration according to the write-up. Buhari is not involved in any of these killings, and I make bold to say that they are trying everything in their capacity to stop these killings..#myopinion#youcancomeformeamwaiting |

The write up just meet my day, kudos to the writer. Our problems in Nigeria is not that we can not identifying the truth but to accept it is the the major issue. People fail to know it was never Buhari or neither Osinbajo who were killing in Benue, Taraba and Zamfara. The fact behind this is that Nigeria populace knew this including the elite society but the game of politics have cover their face in such a way that they cannot even tell the truth of the matter. Why the political elite want to be continuing relevant in the corridor of power:To them the best way to bring their objective in to the limelight is to misinform the society and create a mindset of hatred in them against the popular mandate of the present occupier of the apex office........I believe the write -up will go viral and orientate and educate our people to have a clue of the menace that bedevil us. Many Nigerians are interested in hear saying rather than to search for the root bof the matter, killings in Nigeria was inherited from the past administration and did not start under Buhari regime, so how come people want to nail Buhari to the cross?......I send my condolence and sympathy to the victims of the massacre being experienced in some part of the country, may GOD grant the dead eternal (Amen) but it is an high time we stop playing politics with issue of national interest and focus on development. The earlier we realize to take responsibility together as a nation precluding sentiment, religious bigotry and ethnic jingoism, the earlier the better. |

Shaka Momodu is just a distraction that knows nothing than to condemn all the efforts of this present administration to make look them ineffective in the face of masses. Prof Yemi Osinbajo has been tested and trusted even before he become the Vice President and he still the best Vice President in all criteria in the history of NIGERIA. I will like to advise all Nigerian irrespective of religion and tribe to stop reading and spreading hate speech, the best we need to do is to support this present administration with prayer and give them another opportunity to serve us more because one good term deserves another. GOD BLESS OSINBAJO GOD BLESS BUHARI GOD BLESS NIGERIA............. |

I'm happy people are beginning to understand the grand design of these jihadist vermins. People should be very careful of the alternative facts of these animals. Why should certain states in a federation threaten bloodshed and destruction if they don't get their Islamist claims? They threatened to turn OBJ's govt upside down and went ahead to install Sharia law in a secular country which is parallel to the constitution. Read what these Jihadists planned to turn the contraption Nigeria into https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/239755-self-serving-sharia-become-disaster-nigeria-obasanjo.html www.dailypost.ng/2017/08/11/sharia-nearly-consumed-nigeria-obasanjo/ Another lie the writer of this article made is that Boko haram insurgency started under Jonathan. This is a lie. Boko haram started in 2002 during the tenure of OBJ with their motto that "Western education is evil". Read their history here https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boko_Haram Now, Yusuf, the founder of Boko haram was killed in 2009 during the tenure of Yaradua and the widespread destruction started then. Read here www.nigerianmonitor.com/revealed-boko-haram-started-with-yaradua-says-gov-shettima/ https://www.vanguardngr.com/2009/08/yaradua-orders-probe-of-boko-haram-leaders-killing/ If you have any faith in your education and decency to your intelligence, you will verify everything from these peddlers of alternative facts. I had to stop reading after seeing the two lies I spotted above. Let the OP reveal the author, and I'll disgrace him/her with facts. |
