Samklef, a multi-talented music artist, producer, DJ and video director who hails from Imo State paid respect to Late President Yar’Adua who died 8 years Ago.

The Artist Quoted a Tweet about the Remembrance of the Late President with reply  “Rest In Power”.

Samklef is among many Nigerians who believes that the Late President is so far the Best President Nigeria has ever had since Independence.

In the presidential election, held on 21 April 2007, Yar’Adua won with 70% of the vote (24.6 million votes) according to official results released on 23 April. The election was highly controversial. Strongly criticized by observers, as well as the two primary opposition candidates, Muhammadu Buhari of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) and Atiku Abubakar of the Action Congress (AC), its results were largely rejected as having been rigged in Yar’Adua’s favour.

Buhari and Abubakar filed petitions to have the results of the 2007 presidential election invalidated due to alleged fraud, but on 26 February 2008 a court rejected the petitions.

He was the best president nigeria ever had..
Zane2point4:
abeg make una bone that thing.
best president what?

blc he didn't finish his tenure.
if buhari didn't win the election am sure people will continually say he is the best nigeria never heard.
If not for his death,Nigeria would not have come to the desperation of voting buhari..
Because I'm sure with the brilliance of his seven points Agenda which are:

Power and energy - To develop an adequate power supply so as to ensure Nigeria's ability to develop as a modern economy by the year 2015.

Food security - The emphasis is on the development of modern technology, research, financial injection into research, production and development of agricultural inputs leading to a 5 to 10-fold increase in yields and production. This is supposed to result in massive domestic and commercial output and technological knowledge transfer to farmers.

Wealth creation - This reform is focused on wealth creation through diversified production especially in the agricultural and solid mineral sector. This requires Nigerians to "choose" to work, as hard work by all is required to achieve this reform.

Transport sector - The transportation sector in Nigeria with its poor road networks is an inefficient means of mass transit of people and goods. With the goal of a modernized and industrialized Nigeria, it is mandatory that Nigeria develop its transport sector. The PDP government claims it has already started this process by the ongoing rehabilitation and modernization of the railway. While the reforms might take some time to take effect, it is a need that must be addressed.

Land reforms - While hundreds of billions of dollars have been lost through unused government-owned landed assets, changes in the land laws and the emergence of land reforms is supposed to optimise Nigeria's growth through the release of land for commercialised farming and other large scale business by the private sector. The final result is supposed to assure improvements and boosts to the production and "wealth creation initiatives".

Security - An unfriendly security climate apparently "precludes both external and internal investment into the nation". Thus, security will be seen as not only a constitutional requirement but also as a necessary infrastructure for the development of a "modern Nigerian economy". With its particular needs, the Niger Delta security issue will be the primary focus, marshalled not with physical policing or military security, but through "honest and accurate dialogue" between the people and the Federal Government.

Education - The two-fold reforms in the educational sector are supposed to achieve the "minimum acceptable international standards of education for all." With that achieved, a strategic educational development plan "will ensure excellence in both the tutoring and learning of skills in science and technology" by students who will be seen as the "future innovators and industrialists of Nigeria." This reform is to be achieved through massive injection into the Education sector..

I'm sure after his 2007-2011 tenure elapses,he would be voted in for second term which is 2011-2015.
That would mean that buhari has to contest with some one other than jonathan because he can't contest after just concluding as VP..And i'm sure Jonathan would have defeated buhari at that time..
But since he died and Jonathan in-competently used his tenure,Nigeria was desperate for change,..
AN UNDESIRABLE CHANGE..

RIP YAR'ADUA..

I feel no pity for him,
Yar'adua brought his death on himself.

1). He accepted power even when he knew he was not medically fit,
2). He smoked like a chimney even when he knew he had a heart condition.
3). Lastly, despite his chronic Kidney condition, dude did not fail to release in Turai every other night.

Servicing an energetic and pretty woman like that is enough to even cut short the lifespan of a healthy young man.

dude was a very peace loving man, he is so far the best president to come out from the north, and he is one of the presidents in Nigeria who successfully achieved one thing which he presented in his seven point agenda, that is granting Niger delta amnesty, sincerely for me, I think he was better than obansanjo, Jonathan and buhari put together... may he continue to rest in peace

It is not how far but rather how well.

Yar' Adua achieved so much within a short time regardless of the fact that his tenure was plagued with illness.

His seven point agenda which he tried to accomplish was top notch. That's a product of good thinking and determination.

You just have to give it to Umaru Musa Yar' Adua.
He's the best president Nigeria ever had!
