I feel no pity for him,
Yar'adua brought his death on himself.

1). He accepted power even when he knew he was not medically fit,
2). He smoked like a chimney even when he knew he had a heart condition.
3). Lastly, despite his chronic Kidney condition, dude did not fail to release in Turai every other night.

Servicing an energetic and pretty woman like that is enough to even cut short the lifespan of a healthy young man.
If u don't have respect for Nigeria politicians playing not Yaradua
He is the best so far even in the grave

I will never forget Yara'dua for canceling the illegal sales of Port Harcourt refinery by Obasanjo to Dangote in the name of privatization

I know that if it was that ineffectual buffoon, he wouldn't have the guts to do it

Jonathan, as a man, lacked decisive principles, and as such had no business being a Nigerian president

It was the same Yara'dua who granted amnesty to the boys in the creeks, which saw the increase in crude oil sales at the time..

The death of Yara'dua shaped Nigeria’s history by leaving us with am ineffectual buffoon as a president

If God had kept him a little longer, maybe he would have proven to be the messiah Nigeria needed

The dullard in Aso Rock now is the worst disaster we've had since 1999

Perhaps you were too young to remember or appreciate what Yaradua did for Nigeria. Talk about hitting the ground running; he reviewed VAT back to 5% from the 10% that OBJ increased perhaps to punish Nigerians for not giving him a third term. OBJ also increased fuel price which Yaradua reversed. Also, the amnesty programme was set up during his regime. This brought a calm to the incessant kidnapping and attacks that plagued OBJ's era. He was as detribalized as they come.
His memory was only tainted by his family's hide and seek game during his illness that eventually threw Jonathan into the limelight.

His 7 point agenda was also on track to take Nigeria to greatness. At least he had a plan unlike Buhari.

The man deserves some accolades and your respect sir.

Signed into law 2011..

Yar'adua made it possible. He set up a committee to work towards the implementation of a new minimum wage way back in 2009.
He still deserves credit for that.

Ahaps, I know Nigerians to the core, while he was president they rained abuses on him online and everywhere, then I was like... Why? You know that crowd mentality we always have. Everyone wants to tag along. Then he died and years afterwards everyone sees him as a saint. It's a never ending process. Have we not heard some say Abacha or presently Good luck was better? No present leader is ever seen for whom he is until he leaves the seat. One day they'll tell us Buhari was the best, I sound like a joker but mark my words. I'm sorry to say this but it's natural for most economies to get worse with the passage of time, and it's also natural for it's citizens to always think that past leaders are better than the present ones, period. How difficult is it to elect a good leader in Nigeria / Africa? Does the problem solely lie with the leaders or are we the followers also responsible for our woes? Think am, we all just have to change.
