I think there's a particular woman too that's eyeing the post of Dino melaye in kogi west senatorial zone. smart Adeyemi has served the Senate for two terms. I don't even expect him to contest again. Dino melaye should contest against Yahaya Bello in the next year governorship election.

Stop analysing politics from an emotional standpoint. That's what Igbos do that backfires. Look at the reality and prepare for it even if it's bitter. Dino would contest and when Igalas (Kogi East) refuse voting for him, he'll start screaming betrayal.

Next election, the Governor is coming from Kogi East. Bello would lose even in some parts of Kogi Central (Ebira land) but I'm not yet sure of Dino's fate cos he won't be given the APC ticket.

Kogi politics is very interesting but somewhat predictable if you have been following it.

Dino only speaks to get attention, and make a spectacle of himself. All the speeches he has made about Kogi people, in what way has it benefited them, or improved their lot? Dino is all talk, and no motion. Have the roads in his constituency been repaired, or their salaries paid? Have new industries been opened in the state, or their infrastructure upgraded? Dino melaye has been receiving millions of naira every month as a senator, while civil servant and pensioners from his state receive less than #30,000 as salary in a month.

I have countered Dino's shenanigans many times on NL. Do a search. Upon all Dino's shouts, has anything changed in response to his antics? Have Kogi workers been paid? Have the killings stopped? Dino holds the records for using the most vile language on the floor, and engaging in the most fights, within the National Assembly. If this is your hero, it is hilarious!

I totally disagree with you here. as it stand, alot of kogi youths and old people love Dino. Yahaya Bello make Dino more popular than ever before. Infact he even makes his constituency more popular too. the igalas in kogi east are voting enmass for Dino melaye candidacy. Dino melaye may leave Apc and join pdp in that contest. Infact alot of stakeholders are supporting Dino melaye. he's fit for that governorship seat to unseat Yahaya Bello from that post.

You don't have to agree with me. I'm being realistic, you're being sentimental. I've been following Kogi politics since 2006 and I know the voting pattern how it usually swings.

As I said, stop analysing politics like most Igbos do. It's not an emotional venture, look at the reality. Next election, the Governorship is going to Kogi East and Dino won't get up to half of the votes if he runs for Governorship.

Don't mind that guy. The Okun people lack the political sagacity of their kith & kin in the Southwest. After Faleke, failed in his bid to be sworn in as governor, I expected the Okun elders to form a political alliance with the Igala, in order to build bonds of trust and understanding between them. That way, Faleke or any suitable Okun candidate would contest the primaries and the elections, in a bid to win it with the support of the Igalas, under a joint Okun-Igala ticket. Okun are very much in the minority, and based on numbers alone, they would never be able to put a candidate in Lugard house.

And any noise Dino makes on the floor of the Senate, is just to make a spectacle of himself and satisfy his craving for attention. The truth is that he is an ineffectual noise maker, whose noise has not changed anything for his people, nor caused any improvement in their living conditions.

Meanwhile, in the midst of the poverty and depraved conditions of his people, he keeps flaunting obscene wealth that cannot be accounted for. If he truly desired to support his people, let him use the millions he earns in the Senate monthly, to open up industries and firms that will provide employment to people in his district, instead of wasting it on flashy cars, flamboyant lifestyle and lousy gimmicks. Dino adorns the robe of a senator, while posturing like a tout.
