Maybe because getting older signifies the end of an active life and less vitality mentally, sexually and physically. We leave is a "youth-worshiping" culture, where so much emphasis is placed on youthful appearance that the plastic surgery business is literally booming, making this once "Hollywood only" group of procedures now available to the average numbers of people, complete with convenient finance plans! Unfortunately, our outward appearance does not guarantee happiness in old age. The truth of the matter is this: It is the quality of our lives that is important. The inner health of our body, mind and spirit creates either an ageless glow or an old haggard demeanor. Youthfulness is not a chronological age, and age is not the enemy-disease is! The good news is that God made our bodies able to be rejuvenated at any age, thereby giving us more healthy vibrant years.
