It's not only you, from the photos the Camon X Pro has higher benchmark score than the Phantom 8.

Me I'm more about of an aesthetics person. which one killed it in design?

The specs sheets suggests that the phantom will be faster but X pro isn't shabby specs wise and let's not forget the power of hardware-software optimisation too

As for aesthetics, the Phantom 8's glass back has a better appeal while the slimmer, longer 18:9 aspect ratio of the Camon X/X Pro is better to look at and fits better in the hand.

Well it's a matter of choice, I just love the fact that the phantom 8 is a flagship.
