EarthXmetahuman:Don't care if you sponsored anybody's campaign. I am stating the fact that it is. No Nigerian has the right to complain about the exchange rate if he's not exporting or creating a local substitute for what is usually imported. |

GavelSlam:you really are dumb. Why not name one? That shouldn't be hard Its a known fact till today that the highest imported products by Nigerians are gadgets, or technology generally. We don't eat foreign foods that much, so those ones are mostly sorted locally. Which herdsmen are destroying at will. You want local alternative for cars e.g, you need a functioning steel company like ajaokuta, stable electricity, security and good roads. Which one of those is your useless government providing without blaming the previous government? What about phones, why do you think "made in Nigeria" phone sometimes more expensive than the imported ones? Why do you think innoson, the local substitute import most if his raw materials or sells products more expensive than some of the imported ones? |

GavelSlam:did this guy just say price of food is not skyrocketing? Now I know I have been talking to a 17years old boy. Now I know you are being fed. Go to school kid. There is currently scarcity of maize and the price of beans has increased. Same way with egusi, rice. Etc. Go and ask your mom how much she pays to feed. If you know, you won't be here talking nonsense. Last quote from me. |

EarthXmetahuman:Na so, your own market is Gucci market. Which food stuff is increasing? The FAO Vegetable Oil Price Index was down by 1.43 per cent, driven by a fall in prices of palm and soy oil, the key commodities in the Index. The FAO Meat Index was down by 0.94 per cent driven by the decrease in the prices for bovine and pig meat. https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2018/05/07/inflation-rate-seen-heading-towards-single-digit/amp/ |

kolawoleibukun:It’s better to do business with China than your almighty USA. China is better than USA in all ramifications USA is only interested in USA only while China is interested in its own pocket but yours too Nigeria and other Africa countries have been dealing with USA for only God knows when but what do we get in return? Darkness, dead social infrastructures etc In less than 10years of China presence in Africa, they have done what USA and EU couldn’t do for years. All Africa countries are shifting towards China hence USA recent outburst Lmao! Lol! You wrote gibberish up there. Who buy most of the things made in China? The same USA buy 70% of Made in China products. So why would Nigerians stop patronising China products? There are loads of Chinese investors in Nigeria today looking for where to invest their money, pls, how many USA investors do we have right now in Nigeria? It’s the same fucking USA that do everything to destroy Nigeria image abroad by reporting everything that equally happened in their shithole country about Nigeria but failed to bring their own to the media via CNN, CBSetc The USA that tried to bully Nigeria into accepting homosexuality as our way of life Nothing good is in USA foreign policy and the whole world are waking up to USA menace Go to Parts of Nigeria where new tracks are being built and jobs being created. China is massively building roads network, 21st century trains tracks across the country. Soon, China will help Nigeria to solve our electricity problem which USA and EU have been sabotaging for years so as to keep our country as undeveloped country |

Anything with China deserve extra scrutiny shaaa. They have over 2 Billion people and everything is about their future. Nothing wrong with that if Nigeria govt is smart enough to ensure we have the similar stake and not being taken advantage of. There is a good reason Chinese are spreading across Africa with backing from the Chinese govt. |
| Re: N720bn Currency Swap Deal Attracts Nigerian Banks To China by chukxie(m): 11:34am On May 07, 2018 |
kolawoleibukun:You've made some very valid points regarding how China does business with Nigeria - Africa. As someone presently living in China, I can unequivocally tell you the Chinese do not care about any other nation's true prosperity. When China uses its right hand to give grants / loans to poor countries especially African countries, it (China), uses its left hand and both legs to take back what it gave them with interest of course, and on top of that it would exploit the natural resources of its loan beneficiaries. That's how China is building its own type of hegemony. It's sad beyond words that a nation like Nigeria wealthy in natural resources would go cap in hand to China to beg to money to develop its decaying infrastructures. Nigeria should have been amongst one of the best countries in Africa and the world if our leaders had not been corrupt, greedy, wasteful and utterly clueless when it comes to governance. |
