The heavy downpour in Port-Harcourt, Rivers state capital - did more harm than good to residents today. Many motorists saw their vehicles damaged and destroyed following the rainfall after trees fell on them. According to reports, some of the car occupants escaped death narrowly after leaving their vehicles moments before the trees fell on them. Here are photos from the havoc wrecked by the heavy rainfall.

Most importantly, no live was lost. I still feel very sad for those who lost properties or got their properties damaged. This is one of the unforeseen situations that are beyond our power and the best we can do is to make sure we stay in a safe place anytime we sense that a heavy rain is about to fall.

This was more than serious today. I experienced a bit of the storm on my way from Ada George to Rumuola.it caused alot of damage.

The rain was heavy shaa. Again, i say stay off electric poles, trees, communication masts, amd tall buildings whenever it's raining.
