The Nation’s Editorial on “Insolvent states” Published on Tuesday, May 08, 2018 (Economic Confidential magazine's verdict), NANS Speaks:

We congratulate the governors of Lagos, Ogun, Rivers, Edo, Kwara, Enugu and Kano states for the commendation in today’s Editorial of The Nation Newspapers in respect of the recent verdict by the influential Economic Confidential magazine, which described the listed states as solvent with impressive over 30 per cent Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) to fund additional economic activities.

In view of the above, we align ourselves with the stance of the said The Nation’s Editorial that,  “In the light of the approaching general elections, we call on the opposition parties and the electorate to be vigilant and call attention to the performance of the governors. 

"If Nigerians are truly desirous of development, the attention paid to the economy in the first term of governors seeking reelection should form the basis of the campaign in the run-up to the polls.”

But you didnt ask why kwara is in the list.

Immediately i saw 'the Nations newspaper',i couldnt stop laughing,my only worry is that NANS should please stay out of politics...allow dirty politics for dirty politicians,in Nigeria,deception is now a noble game. We are use to brown envelop editorial inother to make cheap political gains.
