Why are Nigerians do dubious like this?

Honesty is very scarce in this country.

N2.5m for that matter. undecided

If i can have my way, I'll rather do business with a foreigner than with a fellow Nigerian

The foreigner / white man you trust so much Bought this highlander for
$11,800 + fees of 1500. let's assume he spends 8k usd in repairing the car that's a total amount of $19,300, he didn't pay any ocean shipping or even pay any customs duty. and don't forget most of them source their carparts from junk yards (like ladipo) so don't think he bought most repair parts brand new.
He only repaired the car and now he wants to sell it for $30,995.
Who is the dishonest person now?

You guys seem to think only Nigerians buy and repair accident car, but it's very popular in the usa too.
If it was a Nigerian dealer that imported this kind of car with deployed airbags and non run and drive you all will let hell loose and call it write off and a moving coffin .

The american Repair might be top notch and airbags might be repalaced properly.
But my main concern is to let you know that dead cars like this are also repaired overseas. And put up for sale for large profit.

At least, you'll know the vehicle history that is salvaged before you pay... And if there are faults, you can take the car back to him to fix or there are good mechanics over there who can fix whatever faults come up.

We don't actually mind buying salvaged/accidented vehicles here.. the main problem is availability of reliable mechanics that can fix faults associated with such vehicles without condemning the car

Did you see the white man putting the accident picture in his advert? He will provide the vin. Just the way you will see the vin of nigeria tokunbo on inspection.
The dealer over there will say car has been involved in collition.

You say if the car is faulty you can take it back to him . lol. He cant provide you with a refund. There might be a warranty of 3months from his own dealership.

There are good mechanics here just the way you have them in other countries

Different between the Whiteman & Nigerian dealers criminals

The dishonest person is the one who does not disclose the salvage history

Why can't the Nigerian dealer put up the Vin like the "dishonest whiteman"? Why do I have to waste fuel/transport fare to get Vin?
If the Vin is posted, I do my Vin check before inspection, depending on severity of the accident, I can still go ahead for inspection.

My point please don't compare our dealers with the "dishonest whiteman".. I prefer the white man's dishonesty

If you are used to cargurus you'd know dealer didnt tag it as salvage.
The website detected the vin as salvage .

Would you spend 30k usd buying this car after seeing that crash picture. Or do you think the dealer will provide you with crash picture?
He will only provide a vin report to tell you it was salvaged from a front collision. .
If it was a nigerian dealer. You people will spoil the thread and call the car coffin or write of . but its someone else you have no issues with this level of accident.

Not to derail the thread.
I only posted this to enlighten the ignorant man. Who posted this . to let him know americans also buy dead cars and fix them.
