I won't dabble on if the LG V series have notched screens or not but I'mma clarify some things.... the term "notch screen" came to live with the essential phone...as for me I prefer the essential notch to iPhone X..cos the essential has more screen estate and the fact that the screen wraps around the camera is so great to look.....the fact that most OEMs are copying iPhone X notch is due to the fact that Apple (iPhone) is a well known brand....few know the essential phone thus trying to be iPhone X wanna be....so design wise essential notch is better than that of iPhone X

But u realize the need for iPhone x notch to like that. Take a closer look at the phone and u will see the notch houses the front facing camera and a couple of sensors used for face ID. If the galaxy s9 is to have a notch u think it would be like the essential phone? I don't think so. Galaxy s9 has a couple of sensors it uses for its iris scanner so if they are to add a notch it would be like the iPhone x. But I like the look of the s9 without a notch.

The essential they claiming came with the notch, how many OEM Copied from essential phone?
The gesture had been on for years, but android didn’t bother updating its OS to the gestures, but iPhone came, perfected it and now they all on apple and now getting all android to work like iPhone.

If nor be iPhone, e nor fit be iPhone, what’s the need for adding gestures to native nav? I’ll rather get an iPhone instead (I use am iPhone though)

If u think Samsung is faster then that means xiaomi ain't fast. Galaxy s8 just saw android 8.0 by February 2018 (remember Google released Oreo in August 2017]. In fact some career models in the USA didn't get through update until April 2018. And I'm not sure they will see 8.1, and wljkd take a long time for s8 and s8 plus to see android 9.0 if they ever will. Many career galaxy s7 and s7 edge have not seen Oreo, the international versions didn't see until march upwards.

Welcome to the world of Android. Android 8 was released in August 2018, for a heavily skinned version like MIUI then November is fast enough. Do u know how long it took Samsung to update their galaxy s8? First they have to add their own skin on top of the update then there is a long testing period to make sure there are no bugs.

You are wrong!!!!!!!! The xiaomi midrangers don't have Oreo OTA update. I think you are mixing up MIUI updates with Android OS updates, what Xiaomi care about is MIUI updates and not so much about android OS updates.

I was surprised myself because it would take tikes for s heavily skinned OS like MIUI to get timely Google updates. They might get it for their glagship phones but not for the mid rangers. These thjbgs take a lot of time to test before being officially released.
