This is not new na. Basically any phone with glass back can be modded to be transparent. YouTubers everythingapplepro and jerryrigeverything have been doing this for long. There are clear back (transparent ) iPhone 8, iPhone x, galaxy s8, LG G6, etc.

U call it rubbish, but trust me people will pay top dollars to have their phones look like this.

If the battery and panel showing, then to me, there isn't any cool or beauty about it.

For Chinese phones of course nobody wants to see their inside because u will see a lot of wires flying around. But for top brands their inside looks good people will pay top dollar to make them transparent.

HTC even made a translucent version of the U11 plus. Not totally transparent but u can still see some of the internals and that is not a mod. By the way check out the transparent Nintendo switch. It's cool
