Suarez? Neymar is not the cost if Suarez form. Look how he played yesterday. That's enough to tell you he is on a decline. Because the same thing Neymar would have done, coutinho did it and maybe even more.

I would prefer we spent that $100M plus revenue from sales of non-productive players on Christian Eriksen( very hard) or payet ( as an alternative) and one fullback able to play LB/RB( Jonny Castro), swoop for Alderweireld to replace Verma, pull the Arthur deal forward and look into FdJ and de Ligt for the following season.
Promote necessary la masia players as squad player. And sell dead weights

Just look at the build up to levante's 1st goal. Mina cleared bad, Morales goes to the right, semedo awaits him but Mina for reason best known to him took it upon himself to follow leaving the center open.

You a lil too harsh mate. Few players can influence a game, 21 men, tas Messi does. Coutinho is no Messi but of all the players on the field, he was the one who upped his game big time after the 5-1. You could literally see it on his face.And I think maybe, if not for Suarez we might have equalized.

I watched a 10 man Barca play as though their lives depended on it last week for 45 whole minutes, I watched Messi chase lost balls and the passion in their eyes to ensure we didn't loose that game. That shows to me clearly that they wanted to end the season unbeaten for posterity and record sake at least.

Think about it for a minute, with Messi maybe maybe maybe the attack could have been different and levante wouldn't have had that flurry of early chances.

It's not like big teams don't get outplayed with their best players on, but it becomes a rarity.

I agree it is a possibility, but it could also have been worse since Messi doesn't help defensively. What if it turned out to be Messi's off day like at Roma.

IMO, the biggest mistake EV made was not putting Messi on the bench as a precaution. There's no excuse for not putting him on the bench.

Game was 5-4 for 20 minutes. If Messi had come in with Barca clearly in the driving seat, it'd most likely have been like the Sevilla draw or even a win.

That said, it was a bad day for you guys. Whichever way you guys take it, you'd have conceded several goals.

Levante came for the win, which is uncharacteristic of bottom clubs when playing Barca. They're in red hot form. Then with Umtiti injured (he'd been playing like sh*t before his injury tho'), EV was stuck with Mina, Pique, and Vermaelen in the CB position. All 3 played, Levante scored anyway.

They played like ninjas, the transition from attack to defense and vice versa was exemplary.

They can't score five when messi is on the pitch that's the truth. Messi is Our best attacker and defender combined. With Messi's influence, Our attack would be busy and we would have hit like two to three goals before their onslaught at the start of the second half. There will always be that fear factor when he plays as they won't enjoy much freedom like yesterday ask Sevilla. Our defence was shitty though.
