But the major issue is that State conducted elections are not credible..thats why in the current constitutional amendments,there is a provision for INEC to conduct all elections including state and local government elections..Check through our democratic process since 1999,some do not conduct local elections,even when they conduct,its always a landslide victory for the sitting governor..

Even if pdp participated,same thing would happen.there too weak in oyo state.lets compare this polls to that of kaduna state and see why el rufai is very innovative and magnanimous and democratic.the kaduna polls is the freest lg polls since 2007

i was born in ibadan and ever since av known what is called politics in Oyo State, Ajimobi has been the best governor we ever had. Though he has his own shortcomings and weaknessess but he has been the most outstanding among the past governors.

Be informed. The election was within APC. The information we got was that other parties were not allowed to register there candidates.

No party care to fight it out because they see no reason to drag issue with the governor when he and his just elected party reps would be leaving in few months.

talking as if u are not a Nigerian, there were no other contestant apart from APC,and it was APC conducted election and people didn't vote self about 90% stayed at home but come 2019 that is when APC will smell pepper

Election with very low turn out, election that PDP and other major parties did not even participate in....... The only annoying thing is they made me stay indoors till 3pm.......Imagine, you used 7years in office, conducted no LG election, then when 2019 is almost here, you appointed your people to help you secure votes of the next APC candidate and to support your Senatorial aspirations too......We all know those guys were just appointed.

You know, it's difficult because the Governors control the process, similar thing happened in my state (Delta) last year where inspite of the below par performance of the state govt PDP swept all that was in sight during the local council elections.. The results they brandished was scary coz everyone knew there was low turnouts of voters in most areas..


This is why i give Kudos to Gov El-Rufai for what transpired in KD yesterday, the opposition party won 6 or so LGA's. You won't get that in many state's, not in this Naija. It's beyond APC and PDP.

Dnt b fooled by dis charade... No party was ready to waste his money for forms/campaigns. An election dat was nt conducted for over 7yrs in power,...... Only few wards had pple dat came out to vote on saturday. Most polling units were deserted..... Dat was a local govt selection not election
