Who tell you that? Firstly, today is 28th in South Africa too plus it is not the issue of majority of Muslim but the appearance of Crescent which is to be annouce by leaders of muslims and only only recognised Islamic leader in Nigeria to announce the sighting of the moon before we commence the fast is the Sultan. Don't compare Nigeria with other countries as there are different Geographical location. So sighting of the moon in different countries may differ

I learnt some mosques are already praying tarawih in preparation for fasting tomorrow, no announcement in my neighbourhood mosque yet. It seems people won't be united in this year's Ramadan.

The people that prayed today are not to be blame as much as the Imaam that lead the prayer for them. I pray ALLAH makes us see the truth and be able to not only accept it but also follow it. (Ameen)

My case was not only that I learnt but in the mosque I prayed my I'shai b4 I even completed my Salat the Imam had already started the taraweeh. I pray ALLAH strengthen us in faith and make our feet firm on the right path of the deen.
