I stand with the police.
It is not fair that an IG was humiliated like this.
His inability to pronounce cantankerous words doesn't spell an inability to carry out the functions of an IGP.

Nigerians are unreasonably highly judgemental,
It is very unfair to expect a man who was taught English language in Hausa to pronounce English words like the Duke of Cambridge.

It's also not fair to expect a man who last marched as a secondary school student to effectively participate in a parade with other service chiefs.

Whoever videotaped the IGP in his ridiculous condition does not just deserve to be arrested but also deserves an award at the Cannes film festival.

With that said,
Happy married life Lalasticlala.

If the said video was actually doctored as claimed by the NPF. Why did they warned and Ordered the Journalists present at the event not to report the IG' s blunder or make the video public?

IGP Idris should just accept he's a failure like his boss Buhari.

If he is mentally balanced he will voluntarily resigned. He needs some mental evaluations by those in the know. He needs to look into himself and ask if he really wants to go through that.

A manhunt has been launched by the Nigerian Police, for the reporter who shared of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim Idris struggling to read his speech at the inauguration of the Police Technical Intelligence Unit in Kano, Kano State on Monday, which has been trending with #transmission.

Liberty Television journalist, Aminu Nurudeen, who is believed to have posted the viral video of IGP Ibrahim Idris, has reportedly gone into hiding, as Punch gathered that the Kano State Police Command invited the reporter to its office immediately the video went viral.

Nurudeen’s whereabouts had been unknown since the Kano State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Musa Magaji Majiya, invited him on Thursday.

Authorities are upset with the journalist because he had allegedly disobeyed a directive by the Kano State Police Command to journalists present at the event not to report the IG’s blunder or make the video public.

In a part of the transcription of the footage, Idris said, “I mean, transmission, I mean effort, that the transmission cooperation to transmission, I mean transmission to have effect, ehm, apprehend, I mean, apprehensive towards the recommendation, recommended formation effective and effect, I mean, apprehensive at the transmission of…and transmission and transmission for the effective in the police command.”

Sources revealed that IGP Ibrahim Idris, who was embarrassed by the trending video reportedly ordered an investigation into its release.

In a chat with Punch, a source said, “He (the IGP) has however ordered an investigation into the leakage of the video but we are watching to see how he intends to deal with the individuals behind the viral video without further embarrassing himself and the force”.

Also, detectives are allegedly using the police technical platform to track the original source of the video on social media. Bloggers that posted the video might be interrogated by the police for allegedly, “peddling a doctored video meant to cast the IG in bad light and embarrass the police leadership.”

Idris, in an interactive media chat on the police Twitter handle, Nigerian Police @PoliceNG #Askthepolice, had also told Nigerians that the video was doctored.

Is the journalist meant to obey the authority or the ethics of his work? He should come out, this is not a military regim but democrazy. He should be charged and tried according to his work ETHIC PERIOD AND NOT BY THE ORDER OF THE AUTHORITY.

That will be like living in North Korea, even though we claim to practice oyinbo democrazy. There should never be a suppression of press freedom, unless a report is libellous, slanderous and witch hunting. .

Apologize or Resign.

These people take Nigeria for a joke? Nigerians for a fool?

What will it take him to just come out and address the nation in an apologic manner. "Am sorry" so simple to say " I was drugged" or just say " I was not in my right senses".

Was it the man's fault to camera and transmit live to the net, before they were ordered to retract from making it public.
In this era of technology you are asking people not to brocast live. God help Nigeria, we are bkward to 1918

If they claim it was doctored, why did the police authorities give a directive that the video should not be released, based on this report?

I do not believe that the police has such powers to stop journalists covering an event from releasing footages and clips of the said event for public consumption. Journalists have the freedom to report proceedings from a public event that is funded by taxpayers's money. Talk about press freedom.

The blood of the Kano state INEC chairman and his family who were burnt to death in Kano after the rigging of elections for Buhari in 2015 in Kano will haunt the IGP forever.

The IGP should stay away from Kano because the blood of the innocents with which Idris got the appointment of IGP cry for vengeance.
