3000 MW/h I believe was computed using static thermal line rating. That value could oscillate between 2500 and 4500 MWh/h using dynamic thermal line rating. If Fashola were an expert he would know this and see how transmission capacity could be improved using real time weather conditions.

Agreed transmission network is in a sordid state but with technology available and the will it might not have to get to 2028 to have significant improvements.

This is one of the main reasons why I can never live in Nigeria again. I cannot stand darkness due to poor or nonexistent power supply.

I don't understand the gas constraint issue, we produce 8.3 billion cubic ft of gas everyday. where do they go to?. if it is inability to get the gas where it is needed, that shouldn't take 10 years. a year is enough to build all the glass pipeline we need.

Do you know what it takes to conceptualise, design and construct a pipeline?... That's not to even mention the cost. Nigeria totally lacks a gas distribution infrastructure/network and that isn't something that can be done overnight.

if there is political will, it can happen in two years. there is absolutely no reason why it can't.
