Biblically, nothing wrong with keeping beards. As a matter of fact, only heartens/pagans were in the habit of shaving their heads and cutting their beards. The Jews only did so when they were sorrowful (as was the case of Job) and rarely, in some personal instances.

Medically, keeping beard is healthy for the face.
