If you like, call Bobrisky to come and preach in your church, na you sabi.

Most of these pastors are occultists and their commitment is not to lead people to heaven but to populate Hell.

Read your Bible and follow it strictly.

That is totally correct. Yes Muslims may get some favours in many areas but not all. Infact Christians are responsible for such phenomenon even on this thread

Instrumentalists are major originators of secular songs used as praise songs in churches. You will hear the keyboardist play the intro of mohit's " You know it you bad" or drummer beat the drum pattern of olamide's "WO". I am an instrumentalist and I can tell you that we share in the blame of this madness.
you're in point..one cold bottle of orijin for u.
my keyboardist still.played fadafada intro today and I played skales ft WizKid beat of the song he sang titled " baddest boy' #midedrums

Is there anything wrong with an artist who sings 'worldly' songs to perform inside a church? What about the inclusion of comedians in church events?

I've keenly followed a trend in various church events where I've seen secular artistes like Korede bello, Waje, Omawumi e.t.c perform during service, Even when we don't have the artistes performing the songs themselves, it is no longer uncommon to find praise leaders in the church singing secular songs like Phyno's fada fada, Humblesmiths's Osinachi and even songs by foreign secular artistes like R.Kelly ( Storm is over & He saved me) during service.

Regular attendees of the yearly The Experience gospel concerts by The house on the Rock church can confirm that performances by secular comedians have become a regular feature at the concert and many of the other church events organised by some 'Mega' churches in Nigeria.

I must confess that at the moment I haven't yet come to a firm conviction on the rightness or wrongness of this phenomenon in our Churches so I'd rather leave it open for Christians on this forum to share their opinions on this issue.

So what do you think? Is it right or wrong for secular artistes and comedians to perform during church services? Is it also proper for praise leaders to sing songs by secular artistes during service?

Name the secular arts that performed at the "House on the Rock Experience"?

For your information, no secular artist performs in church.
You sit there and adjudged the musician to be secular right?

The house of God is a place for worship. It is not a court for jesters. There is a time and a place for everything. No wonder Christianity is losing its fire.

when some pastors doesn't know what more to say, when they want to attract people to their church, pastors who claim to be Christians but does not know CHRIST
as regards to the house on the rock I have been there twice and they are going in the opposite direction of what CHRIST JESUS want his followers to be

There is nothing secular in spiritual matter. You are either hot or cold, nothing inbetween. If you re not praising God, you are promoting the devil, albeit inadvertently.

op, there was absolutely nothing nothing wrong bringing any kind of entertainment(so long it is moderated) to any gathering of christians. It is church leaders that created the rule that secular entertainment should be restricted from church gathering not God.

Any church in the same vain have the right to revert this rule and invite secular entertainers, there is nothing bad about it

there is everything wrong with it you don't give what is sacred to dogs or pigs.. the church is a holy ground and should be respected.

bringing worldly musician's and comedians into Gods sanctuary constitute a desecration of such a place...

infact any church that allows such shouldn't be taken seriously

it is true because there are no scriptures saying that Christians should not enjoy entertainment. Where did pastors get that from i don't know?

2 Timothy 3:1-5
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

To answer your question requires an understanding of the purpose of church.
1 Timothy 3:15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
The church is the ground of truth. I won't go into detailed explanations of that. But I'll say this, according to that verse, there is a way to BEHAVE in church. It is not a disco hall or comedy centre. If you need any of these there are places where you can get them sufficiently. We don't go to church to be entertained. No. The church is to interact with the Word (Jesus) and glorify God. Therefore ANYTHING else that doesn't achieve these purposes is deemed totally unnecessary for church simple. As for singing secular songs in church, that is simply a result of worship leaders who believe they have run dry of fresh oil and inspiration for new songs, while for others they just want to trend and feel fly. For Christ sake there are tens of thousands of gospel songs in circulation. Tens of thousands. When did we exhaust them that now we have to praise God by calling him fada fada? Bunkum
