if you play away yo win @ handicap -1.5

If home wins 3-0 ( it will be 3 against 1.5) and it will be a lost

if home wins 3-1 ( it will be 3 against 2.5 ) and its still a lost bet

if home wins 3-2 ( it will be 3 against 3.5) and hence a won bet

and so on.

so away needs at least 2 sets to win the game if you play -1.5 for away team


This handicap is similar to handicap for football matches and I don't even know why it confuses some people a lot.

in football if you play handicap 0:1

and home wins 3-1 hope you know its a lost bet

if home scores 3(maximum possible in ATP) then away must score at least 2 goals(sets)

the handicap doesn't really means winning sets or not but we can use our sense to translate it to mean winning sets

tennis handicap is different from football handicap. This is grand slam that why there is 2.5 because the sets are more than 2 unlike atp and wta tours that are only 2sets..that one U can only see +- 1.5 there
