You are seeing that $5300 as something really big because of how naira has been devalued

The $5300 may be much but it is not as big as you think it is over there

It's really not a big deal except that our currency is bad. If Nigeria's currency were to appreciate in value it won't be so may even turn out richer than that country as we actually are anyways.

There was an article I read one time shortly after independence where Nigeria helped Ireland concerning coal or something like that to keep their economy afloat. We are just unfortunate to have leaders who don't really care or, not honest to see the system is faulty.

Don't compare because while Nigeria population is about 200M (when will a REAL census be done self?), Luxembourg is just under 600,000 persons, their GDP (goods and services produced in a given country) is higher than that of Nigeria, they have good governance unlike your tribal and sentiment politics - good brains at the right places, corruption is very low over there, the list is endless.

Bro, the poster is right. Luxembourg is indeed one of the richest countries in the world alongside their close neighbours - Switzerland; that's why both countries have a high standard of living & a high per capita income.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves.


They employ the best to teach where the foundation or building blocks for education is laid. It is only logical that they get paid handsomely. How many primary school teachers here deserve more than 35k salary? Be truthful to yourself.

That amount is even for those in the public sector. In the private sector some earn as low as $27-$30
