My point is that Congo DR has a good team but couldn't beat us even when ours was an experimental one. I never intended to hype them but to make a strong case for us.

As for Argentina, they are actually overhyped. Good but overhyped. I doubt if they would come out of that group.

There were a lot of surprises in the last world cup. There were surprises like Costa Rica, Colombia and Algeria. But look at what Algeria became after the World Cup. So, the 2014 achievement may not be enough to save Argentina. I see a lot of surprises in this World Cup.

Just as expected, one full back(echiejile) and a midfielder(mikel agu) will join the other five players after England match. I believe this team will go very far with the right formation

If you want to see real Super Eagles football, wait till the first match against Croatia. Don't expect much in the match against England and Czech because Rohr is experimenting with formations and the players are careful not to sustain injuries.

Even with a weak team, poor pitch and very cautious play, we still came close to beating DR Congo. Just so you know, DR Congo rates higher than us as far as FIFA is concerned. We beat Argentina and Poland, lost to Serbia and drew with Congo DR. All these teams are better than us according to FIFA but we were not disgraced.

Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr has dropped rising star and NPFL top scorer, Junior Lokosa from Nigeria’s World Cup squad in a move that will raise some controversy.

Lokosa made his debut for the Super Eagles against DR Congo on Monday but seems not to have impressed the coaches enough to be able to make the World Cup.

Other players dropped are Moses Simon, Dele Ajiboye, Uche Agbo and Stephen Eze.

Leicester won the Premier League some seasons back, Cameroon won the AFCON with average players, Germany won the Confederation Cup with second team, Nigeria won the Olympics in 1996, Ghana almost beat Germany in 2014. That is football. The most beautiful game in the world.

Why was Ajiboye invited in the first place when they knew they were going to drop him without testing him? I thought Rohr said everyone will have his chance against DR Congo and I believe "everyone" speaks more for the fringe players like Ajiboye.

Lokosa showed some promise. I am sure he would have his time when the AFCON 2019 Qualifiers resume.

Yes, Ghana almost beat them. Ghana had more shots on target while also outshooting 18-12. They would have beaten them but for Klosse's equilizer that kept the match at 2-2.
