There was pandemonium earlier today after angry crowd attacked officers of the Nigeria Customs Service and burnt their vehicles in the process in Akwa Ibom state. An eyewitness account reveals that Customs officers at Uya Oro junction, Oron, allegedly shot the tyres of vehicle carrying rice upon the driver's refusal to stop for check. The driver lost control and crushed motorcycles that carried school pupils. Irate youth descended on Customs Officers and set their vehicle on fire.
