Dankwanbo can deliver the goods. If his fellow governors like Wike and Fayose back him, he will coast home to victory. Selling to other stakeholders will not be difficult. If the PDP mount a robust campaign and awareness drive, I don't see why he cannot expose Buhari for the value-eroding geriatric that he is. Dakwambo has a sterling public service record...a mammoth strength on which the thrust of his candidature could be built/centered. Take it or leave it, APC strategists did a good job on the psyche of an average Nigerian in 2015. They figured out that previous governments Nigeria whether military or civilian had almost always built their "legitimacy" on putative fight on corruption. Cue Abacha, Military Buhari, Obasanjo etc. Jonathan paid the price of not using propaganda to project an image of fighting corruption. Atiku is no doubt a formidable politician who would give any opponent a run for their money. However, the albatross/allegation of corrupt enrichment is something he has been unable to shake off. How well will he fare when push comes to shove and the APC propaganda juggernaut rolls into town amidst the campaign season? Then the OBJ factor... Obasanjo is a veritable kingmaker. Ignore him at your peril. Knowing APC for the desperadoes they are, having Atiku on the PDP might provide APC the reason/ammunition to compromise the election outcome with the supposition that it wouldn't be possible/probable for the electorate to chose a candidate whose integrity and uprightness are suspect. Makarfi is a perfect gentleman but he clearly lacks the clout to engage Buhari in a war of attrition. Nigerians love and admire seemingly tough characters...Obasanjo remains popular all over Nigeria because Nigerians believe that he is fearless and does not cower amidst challenges or adversity. Makarfi will suffer the basic flaw that helped sink Jonathan - The perception, whether rightly or wrongly, of being a weak character. Makarfi lacks the gra-gra or x-factor. Buhari will jostle him aside easily. Sule Lamido will also be tarred with same EFCC brush that will affect Atiku. However, his stewardship as a two-term governor in Jigawa stands him in a good stead. Lamido is fearless and will not shy away from going toe to toe with whatever Buhari will throw at him. I don't think his EFCC issues are weighty enough to undermine his political fortunes. In the final analysis, either of Dankwambo and Lamido present the most realistic candidates to wrest power from Buhari in view of the current dynamics. |

Hassan Dankwambo is a sure bet for PDP Presidency, it is only Dankwambo that can lead the PDP back to the Presidential villa. He is the only aspirant that can give the PDP a relax mind from any arrest or trumped up charge during the campaigns because he is still a serving Governor with immunity from arrest and prosecution. outside the fact that he enjoys immunity from harassment and intimidation, his giant strides in Gombe state would also speak for him during nationwide campaigns.Governor Dankwambo's age would serve as great advantage as well, you see why it is Dankwambo all the way come 2019 SamuelAnyawu: |

It seems one person is using different handles on this thread to sell Dankwambo. Check the usernames and they are recently created. Likely by the same person to make one person appear popular, attractive and likeable. And is this the way forward? Anyways, on a more realistic note, the person who can be a major contender, and the opposition can fill and he will surely stand the best chance is Kwankwaso. He has a popular base of his own in the north. The kwankwasiya movement. He hails from Kano, which is the state with highest number of votes in the country. He stands a better chance than Atiku. @ Seun Lalasticlala Mynd44 take note of spammers. |

Come 2019 Dankwambo will match PMB hands down.In terms of competence and eligibility he is fit to run for that office.Even if he is not well known in the south, things can turn around withing a space of time. There is nothing too big for God to do.A good food cannot hind itself for too long.#RightManRightChoice |

Dankwambo met our NotTooYoungToRule criteria as young leader while Atiku did not and can same to baba. why i will choose Dankwambo is that he has clean record on corruption. JoinerJames: |
| Re: Road To 2019; President Muhammadu Buhari Versus Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo by AliuAmina1786: 2:39pm On Jun 04, 2018 |
Dr Dankwambo had been a loyal and committed party man who did not abandon the party during its turbulent times but silently worked for the reinvention of the PDP back to national reckoning. Despite being a Governor of the North Eastern of Gombe, a region ravaged by the activities of the dreaded Boko Haram, Dr Dankwambo still used good governance and democracy dividends to wrestle the state from the violent activities of the sect.Another fact that will work for Dr Dankwmbo is the fact that he is scandal free aspirant compared to other contestants. For instance, Sule Lamido has a case with the Economic and financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) while Ibrahim Shekarau has similar baggage because of Dasuki-gate. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has some perception challenges because at the mention of his name, everyone already knows the reaction to get from people, But Dankwambo is a clean aspirant without any issue with any of the anti-graft agencies in the country. Good food is accompanied by good resource. No need to waste time on second handed people instead we go for the best no matter what it takes.Come 2019,we should not hesitate to bring into power a man with vision, competence and experience. He has displayed true leadership with the way He has led the people of Gombe state and even when the held the position of the Accountant General of the Federation.Do not think twice in casting your votes for true leadership.#Dankwambo2019# |

Rating Buhari's administration there is nothing that can be said He has done. His performance is porous and weak without any trace of success story. He has failed us and we do not think we should continue with this act disappointment at the end regretting that we actually cast our votes for this weaker vessels. In all comparison PMB can not beat Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo. In all ramifications the difference is clear and our choice has been clearly stated#Dankwambo2019 |

No doubt PMB must go.We have had enough what more can we recon from a disappointing government that could not manage resources but to borrow and be in dept. For me He should be kicked out before 2019 to enable him stabilize and take care of his unstable health issues.Dankwambo has a heart to lead us well without constraints#RightManRightChoice |
