The uproar over the video is actually symbolic of the very same problem the video highlights: we ignore the message and focus only on the dance/facade.

Please my muslim brothers and sisters: is there a prohibition against dancing? It's not like they are doing anything provocative, just youths dancing. And more to the point: the hijab and dancing are very illustrative of our situation. Did anyone notice that they also bent their heads when the herdsmen showed up (indicating beheading), or how they ran off at 6pm (security reasons). There's so much to get from that video, and instead of us sobering up and hearing the substantive message, we're caught up in the theatrics.

The very same people that brought us hijab... are they not the very same that introduced belly dancing? Where a woman dances provocatively in public with midsection exposed? We tolerate that but get upset when our youths are trying to send us a message.

And now, instead of MURIC helping to highlight the issues we are facing on a daily basis, want to ban the video. The things some hypocrites do in private are much much worse than anything in the video, yet they do not flog or punish themselves.

The video was art, I guess falz was trying to show that Nigerians care more about the latest trends like shaku shaku, than serious issues such as the chibok school girls case

If we all indeed do the good things we are thought in our various churches and mosques then I am sure Nigeria will not look like what it is today. We are all pretenders. Majority only attend various churches and mosques just for the sake of seeing. So that they can see that you are a christian or a moslem. If not that we go to all these worshiping centers just for the sake of "karimi" (seeing-sake), then our going would have had significant positive effects on the society. Everything is getting worse everyday. Concentrate on the message of the music first, for if we listen and do everything in a good manner, only will this country be good for everyone, besides there will not even be a need for the song in the first instance such that we will now be talking about the issue of morality of using hijab or not. Many pretend to be holy than Jesus and better like Prophet Mohammed ( S.W). We claim to be religious yet nothing to show for it.
