That's why we cannot move forward as a nation cos he apply sentiment to every issue. In trying to judge any issue we should look at immediate and remote cause of the matter. But here you are only concern about the immediate . Well if na my relative I won't feel sorry for him if he is in the habit of beating the wife. This is what makes me different.

If she has any documented evidence- police reports, hospital reports, neighbors' testimonies all pointing to domestic violence, she has a case for self defence.
Everyone should say no to domestic violence whether on male or female. It's just a matter of time before you push your victims to the wall, and them you also become a victim.
Yet some people will be asking for what the victim did, before been battered or killed.

A 24-year-old woman, Olamide Akinbobola, who allegedly stabbed her husband to death in Ikorodu area of Lagos State, was on Wednesday remanded in Kirikiri Prison on the orders of an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court.

Olamide, a school teacher, appeared on a charge of murder.

The Chief Magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Komolafe, who gave the ruling, said the accused should remain behind bars pending advice from the State Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

She directed that the case file should be duplicated and a copy forwarded to the DPP for advice.

Earlier, the prosecutor, Sgt. Kehinde Omisakin alleged that the woman committed the offence on May 30 at No. 1, Olupebi Abijo St., Gbaga, off Ijede Road, Ikorodu.

Omisakin had told the court that the accused stabbed her husband, Dare Akinbobola, 28, on his neck to death with a kitchen knife.

The woman however made a plea and claimed that she only stabbed her husband in self defence as he was fond of maltreating her.

According to her, she couldn't escape from him as he had bolted the door pinned her down while throwing blows at her.

The offence contravened Section 233 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 (Revised).

The offence attracts death penalty.

The case has been adjourned until July 12.

Last time I checked self defence was a basic human right , if the court should reject her basic human rights then she should appeal to the e cows court trough a human rights NGO

If its more than one
She has some explaining to do
Truth is she won't be able to walk out of this
Its a tough one
Her best option was to leave the marriage but she chose the worst option

Our way of life with respect to keeping orderliness in our homes has drastically reduced, after the introduction of feminism (thanks to the western world) and the subconscious believe in feminism that is gradually entering everyone's thought process !! Women now demand for equal right at home forgetting the fact that even the holy book cautioned women to respect their husbands and men in return to love their Wives.
There is nothing like equal right; even in the Spiritual realm where the love is greater we still have one ruler and he demands loyalty, Women should learn to respect their husbands, especially the new generation that has little regards for men.
