When it comes to techie products- cars, phones, electronics and digital gadgets..... nearly everyone prefers the latest models to the former ones as the manufacturers would have improved on the features, functions and capabilities of these products as the case may be.

Well well well...
I prefer the design and shape of some cars models to their successors. To mention a few:

1. I prefer the sporty look of Volkswagen golf 4 (1997-2003)to Volkswagen golf 5(2003 - 2008).

2. I prefer the curvy toyota camry xv40 (2007-2011) to toyota camry xv50 ( 2012-2017).

3. The elegance of BMW e90 (2005-2011) catches my attention more the BMW F30 (2012-presnt).

Maybe I am not alone. please share if there is/are car model(s) that you prefer its predecessor.

Camry 2010 2011 was calm and mature, the new design makes it look childishly aggressive

For me, two vehicles did bad

1. Pathfinder
I prefer the box, sturdy feel of the 2006 to the curvy newer version.
The former felt more balanced on the road with more prestige

2. Rav4
God forbid me to criticize the newer Rav4 but if you cut off the front of the newer version and fix it on the 2008 version, that would be my ideal car
I prefer the back design of the 2008

I prefer the looks of The Infiniti fx 35 (03-08) to the newer ones.

The older Rav4 is a sexy car.

My colleague used to own 2010 Rav4 before he crashed it. He bought 2016 Nissan xtrail. A part of him still love the 2010 Rav4 series. He said he doesn't like the new model too.

Very right on the Pathfinder. New model looks more like a minivan or a station wagon than an SUV. For the Camry, Toyota nailed it with the 2007-11 Camry and then redeemed themselves with the 2018 model. The models in between are big for nothing rmx and a design best suited for the continuation of the Carina series.

For me, both the Nissan suvs and its luxury sister's Infiniti suvs are more uglier than their ancestors.

I saw a new Infiniti suv that the front looks like a whale
