Please give him ORS and Zinc and watch for a few days. Kindly give him water as often as he can take and watch the meals he eat. He might be reacting to a particular food, milk or cereal. Or just a teething symptom.
thank you ma, i didnt add milk to his food today and he hasnt stool since morning.

What kind of rashes? Are you sure it's not caused by heat. If it is, reduce the layers of his clothing.
You can also stop rubbing oil on his face and neck area.

I think it is but does heat rashes appear on the face as well? In place of oil, what can I use?

You recently introduced the milk? Or you've been using it for a while now?

Yes heat rashes can appear on the face and It isn't compulsory to oil his face sef.
He can be fine without it. Remember, our body produces natural oils too and some skins can be quite sensitive.

Ok, will try that for a few days and see how it goes. How about the neck? Should I do same?

Wow. Just 9 days? Baby isn't latching well, that's the cause. I felt pain too, which lasted for like d first 30secs of feeding but never had sores. I once asked here and lansinoh nipple cream was suggested, so I suggest same too. Meanwhile try to ensure baby latches well, part of the areola needs to be in baby's mouth. Although with time, baby will learn to latch properly.

Just know it will get better. Pele

Lessonslearned and other new moms.

Improper latching is uncomfortable for both mother and child.

Fair enough. Cold turkey was the only method that made sense to me so that's what I did. She suffered, I suffered and in 4days to a week we were good cheesy. I had already long eliminated day time breastfeeding cuz of creche so we only had nights to surmount. Since you're alone and with her all day I'd suggest you schedule it for next time you're travelling or having someone over; so you leave her with the person most of the time and not have to bear most of the whining for the four days.

Btw to avoid getting crazy engorged, if you're still very actively breastfeeding you might want to start by reducing the number of feeds per day first so that your supply reduces before you go cold turkey.

I use maybelline matte cos my skin produces enough oil to fry puff puff. I guess the regular one should be fine as well
