Sen.Shehu Sanni have indeed come a long way. What have become of his alleged murder case with the present government?
June-12 is a phenomenon that will linger on for long. I'm glad I was part of it in Ibadan.
The main suspect, upon release, confessed that the police and the military co-erced him into making that statement.

You illiterate kids of yesterday should refrain from commenting on thread you have no idea of. If you don't know the beating, imprisonment and sacrifices people like Sehu Sani, Chief Gani Fawehimi, etc went through that ultimately gave birth for democracy you're enjoying today, if you don't know those who actively participated in the struggle then I'm so sorry for your type
God bless you in million ways. Not forgetting the likes of Pa Alfred Rewane, Pa Enahoro, Pa Abraham Adesanya, Chief Bola Ige, Col. Musa, Major Alani Akinrinade and many more nationalists and activists who formed the NADECO group to ensure the actualization of the June 12 mandate. Many died in the course of the struggle while some are still living till date and some misguided, gullible and hate filled nonentities, both the educated ones and their illiterates will stop at nothing to ridicule the memory of the day millions of Nigerian regardless of their tribes, religion or political affiliations thronged out to massively vote a candidate of their choice without force or intimidation. The worrisome part is,the youths who ought to be the bedrock of a better Nigeria are the ones fueling the flame of tribalism and hatered all to the amusement and game plans of the old crooks recycling themselves at the corridors of power

go and sit down on a heap of shit. The democracy we were enjoying from 1979 was truncated with the support and finance of the very same abiola.

He had been frolicking with abacha, ibb and buhari since 1983. It was the same trio that fvcked his life up and abdulsalami helped bury the mofo.
A man who knew that a section of the country were already apprehensive of the country being turned into an Islamic state, yet he had to go and run an all muslim campaign. God pass him.
Someone who his own kinsman Fela call an international thief thief ITT. Abiola would have been the worst president of Nigeria
I believed you represented the section of the country that was apprehensive of the country being turned into an Islamic state, definitely, that section is not South West, North or the South South people. Are you afraid of mentioning the section?

You don't know anything about what happened in 1983. What you said is the common story in Ariara market at Aba & main market Onitsha. MKO knew Buhari, IBB & Abacha before 1983. In 1996, Abacha said he had known him for more than 20yrs. Election is by choice & a game of population. That was the election majority of Nigerians put aside religion & ethnic sentiments to elect the candidates they love.

For Hajiya Gambo Sawaba, a woman of courage & character, human right fighter & shrewd politician to have been part of the struggle shows the calibre of people that supported the struggle. You and your brothers clicking like on nairaland are from 5% section that was against June 12. Your 5% section is inconsequential & no meaningful value.

Nigerians should not forget Hajiya Gambo Sawaba. She is entitled to a national honour.

Sowore is really pushing this government hard, no wonder June 12 was declared democracy day
Just like Charly Boy pushed Buhari back to Nigeria after staying four months wasting our scarce foreign exchange during recession despite billions spent on Aso Rock clinic more than all Teaching hospitals combined yet no paracetamol.
Has anyone been arrested since huh
No.
Buhari is a monumental error of gargantuan proportions that must be corrected in 2019!

A former president pardoned a world
renowned thief, even brought shame to this
country.
A present President has chosen to honour a
fallen hero whose mandate was stolen yet
children of anger are saying the former
President is the "hero of democracy"
