Ross Barkley : I wished Nigeria chosed Me for the WorldCup 2018 - Ex Everton and Chelsea midfielder told The Sun Uk he regrets leaving Nigeria for England in 2013.

Ex Everton and Chelsea star Ross Barkley said was eligible to play for the Super Eagles before making his competitive debut for England senior squad in 2013 playing a friendly match against Maldova.

Prior to the opening match in the 2018 Russia World Cup , the Liverpool-born attacking midfielder had announced himself that Nigeria were one of the countries he could have represented apart from England.

Reports have suggested that Barkley's eligibility for Nigeria was through his grandfather, who was a Nigerian.

The attacking midfielder has a Nigerian father, Peter Effanga and grandfather who resides in Liverpool.

Ross is answering his mother's maiden name Barkley because of a strained relationship with his dad. Ross Barkley said he regret choosing England over Nigeria in 2013 .

He also jokingly said if the Super Eagles comes for him he will join them.

Ross Barkley’s Father : Peter Effanga

Peter Effanga Is Ross Barkley s Father Barkley s Nigerian father.Peter Effanga has strained relationship with his dad meant Ross took his grandmother s surname Diane Barkley . Peter Effanga Is Ross Barkley s biological father who moved from Nigeria to England..

Imagine if the Super Eagles has Ross Barkley in the team going to Russia 2018. cry cry cry

You don't value what you have until you lose it, you think England is better than Nigeria in short you think by now England would have won the world Cup but you failed

What All these olodo british/Nigerians joining English national team don't know is that, England will always go for the rave of the moment in their national team, not some b rated or falling out of Grace players unlike Nigeria where we don't have many proffesionals playing in solid teams in europe.

The likes of Musa, Mikel, onazi are still holding down forth for Nigeria because we don't have replacement for them. They could have easily displaced some of them instead of playing for a country that wont give a shit about them once they are not popular anymore.

I'm sure the likes of dele Ali, Ibe, this Liverpool abi na westaham boy that was saying nonsense last year will all regret their actions eventually once England find new young thing to replace them.
