Several youths were seen protecting Senator Dino Melaye's convoy today in Kogi state. This is the first time the Senator was entering the state since his arrest and detention by the police.

PoliticsNGR has obtained footage showing the youths surrounding Melaye's vehicle, creating a sort of protective security barrier. Some also mounted on motor-bikes to escort the senator.

Melaye recently revealed that his security aides were withdrawn by the Police.

Why didn't he provide them with Ak47

I doubt if he will be allowed to contest elections. He has 3 criminal cases in court and the third one (destroying government property, escape from lawful custody and attempted suicide) is a sure banker for the police. Once he is coconvicted, he will not be eligible to contest elections again.
