What sector does assembling identify as? Could it be manufacturing?

Assembling was the start of major economies today... Countries like China, Japan, South Korea

From there they grew and went into direct manufacturing... Keep in mind car companies manufacture and assemble.. They import components like engines then manufacture the rest..

So let's say Nigeria is ahead of Kenya in "assembling" it means we are more on the route to being industrialized than Kenya..
