There is no nigerian laptop - there is no kenyan laptop - maybe South Africa's MECER that distinction. Please in kenya - you cannot wake up - and just start NWOKE laptops - by buying clones and rebadging it. There is very rigorous process before you can be issued with "CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN". And if all you did is to add you name tag to the laptop - about 0.0001% of local content...they'll probably send you to prison for wasting their time. nwoke39: |

Why would I follow a nigerian fraudster - they are so many - he makes no car - he buys them from China. nwoke39: |

Yeah he assemble Okadas but makes motor-car - very brilliant. Car industry is not a joke. The value chain required to sustain a car industry is NO JOKE. Car has maybe 1,000 PARTS. Please go back to school - this time outside Nigeria - and ask them to start you again in primary school. If south africa with it' very advanced car industry - is yet to make it's own car - you think some nigerian conman - can wake up, fly to china, ship knock -off chinese models and declare himself a car manufacturer. Only a banana country would allow him to do that. nwoke39: |

Daejoyoung:Don't dare because bitterness is always your nature, and am not going waste my energy typing you the manufacturing industries in Kenya, rvp had already showed you of which most of them are runned by black citizens being the majority shareholders but because of your ignorance, you'll refute that and make some bogus excuses. Apart from dangote cement,is there any other serious manufacturing industry that you guys can hype of?? You Nigerians needs to stop some minor jealousy...lol |

Being acquitted in corrupt country like Nigeria count for nothing. Being actually tried for fraud in Nigeria count for something. Let him show us the certificate of origin for his cars. The chinese found suckers in west africa - in functioning countries - they won't be allowed. Let Nigeria stack their "made in nigeria" brand on those chinese models - and you'll know nobody will not take your seriously. nwoke39: |

Silas Adekunle is the founder and CEO of Reach Robotics , a company that has developed the world’s first gaming robots. ilas was born and grew up in Nigeria before moving to the UK with his family when he was 11. Silas graduated from the University of the West of England, Bristol , with a first class degree in Robotics. The gaming robots called MekaMonsters , are multi-functional connected battle bots with augmented reality capabilities. Silas told his alma mater he got the idea to build the robots while studying there, teaching maths and science in local schools on the university’s partnership scheme. and noticed how unpopular science, technology. He noticed the students didn’t really like studying science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM) subjects. Many schoolchildren didn’t plan on pursuing careers in these areas. So Silas decided to try and bring them on board by teaching robotics. “Robotics ties in many aspects of STEM, and who doesn’t like robots?” he said |

rvp2018:Also I don't doubt Innoson imported car parts and assembled them at the beginning... But as the company grew bigger he backward integrated and started manufacturing the parts and sourcing other parts in Nigeria.. Today 70% of his car parts are locally sourced and manufactured... That's how a company/industrialization works |

254tobby:Nigeria has stopped direct importation of car lead-acid batteries.. We manufacture enough in Nigeria.. We have a petrochemicals industry, we're one of the few African countries that has that We used to have a booming textile industry.. 3rd largest in Africa after SA and Egypt I could go on and on From what I've seen Nigeria's manufacturing is more indigenous and bigger than KEnya's Although I know Kenya has a blooming automobile assembling industry, I think it's bigger than Nigeria foreign cars though like SA |

When did a conman stop being a conman. If he initially claimed it was 100% local - what make you believe his 70% local. What was incentive for buying locally - with your logistics and without any car industry - what can you source locally. Chinese can sell him those knock off cars completely made for 2,000usd - why would he trouble himself with sourcing 70% of content? Please I know there is very little to be proud off in Nigeria - it one hell-hole of a country - but you'll have to work for it. nwoke39: |

African Countries That Manufacture Some of Their Own Weapons Out of 54 African Countries 11 are manufacturing some of the weapons that they use for their military and police “With 16 billion units of military ammunition produced every year, there are small arms and ammunition enough to shoot every man, woman and child on the planet twice.” It is estimated that 100 million small arms exist in Africa, especially around the Horn, including Somalia, Ethiopia, Southern Sudan, the violent belt of Central Africa and many areas of West Africa. Accurate figures are hard to obtain. Even Africa has its manufacturers and illicit sales. Egypt, Ethiopia, South Africa and Zimbabwe all have manufacturing and distribution factories and illicit sales networks. AK-47s can be bought in some countries on the open market for as little as the price of a sack of flour or a chicken. In some countries like Sudan, Somalia and the Democratic Republic of Congo, guns are part of the culture, almost everyone carries a personal weapon. Tanzania, Kenya and South Africa, along with Nigeria and Ghana in the west, blame the proliferation on huge increases in violent crime south-African-troops-600x381 1. South Africa Developed out of the white apartheid regime desire to keep the South African Blacks under military repression, the South African arms industry is considered one of the most advanced in the non-Western world today, on par with fellow IBSA partners, India and Brazil. The wide-ranging locally-made weapons—some of which were categorized as crowd-control equipment—included transport and attack helicopters, armored personnel carriers, military trucks, internal security vehicles, assault rifles and hand guns. Although weapons production has slowed considerably since the official end of apartheid, Pieter Wezeman, senior researcher, Arms Transfers Program at the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, says the South African arms industry has advanced in a few niche areas such as certain light armored vehicles and anti-tank missiles. The country’s weaponry and other military equipment are in high demand in many countries throughout the world, from the United States to China, and from Sweden to Zambia. Ethiopian-Army-600x398 2. Ethiopia A report released by Agence France-Presse (AFP) confirms that Ethiopia is home to perhaps one of the most powerful armies in Africa. Though weapon production began in the 1800s under Emperor Tewondros, today, the country also has a pretty lucrative industry pertaining to weapon production. Ethiopia produces small arms, rifles and grenades propelled by rockets. According to the AFP report, Ethiopia has a defense budget of roughly $400 million dollars Egyptian-Aircraft--600x289 3. Egypt According to an article composed by Joe Stork, the deputy director of Human Rights Watch’s Middle East and North Africa division, Egypt has been producing its own arms since the 1820s. Their products included “warships, artillery, rifles, bombs and ammunition.” And, while the country did see a temporary decline in weapon production, Egypt’s arms production began to rise after the second World War. The government established ammunition and small arms companies, as well as aircraft factories. Today, Egypt is one of the top weapon producers on the continent of Africa. via Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) museum. Ghanian-Guns--600x397 4. Ghana According to a 2013 essay entitled “History Of Locally Manufactured Weapons In Ghana History Essay,” Ghana has been producing weapons for hundreds of years. Pistols, shotguns and single-barrel guns are locally manufactured and “each of the 10 regions in Ghana houses gun-manufacturing workshops.” The Suame-Magazine area of Kumasi, located in the Ashanti region, is perhaps “one of the most established gun-manufacturing centers in Ghana.” Kenya-Ordnance-Factories-Corporation--600x400 5. Kenya Established in 1997, the Kenya Ordnance Factories Corporation (KOFC), under the Ministry of State for Defense, is a corporation that manufactures small arms. In late 2012, South African company Osprea Logistics announced it was setting up a facility to assemble Mamba Mk 5 armored personnel carriers in Kenya, and aims to produce 100 in its first year of operation. With assistance from FN Herstal of Belgium (1996), Kenya has domestic capacity to produce small arms and ammunition. The bullet factory’s capacity is 20,000-60,000 bullets per day, while local consumption is about two million bullets per year. Kenya refuses to open up its factories for independent verification of their facilities despite ratifying the UN Arms Trade Treaty. The factory produces three types of bullets, namely, 9mm ammunition for the FN35 Browning pistol and the Sterling, Uzi or H&K MP5 submachine guns used by the armed forces; 7.62x51mm for the FNFAL and the G3, the main rifles used by the armed forces; and 5.56mm ammunition, used by the Kenya police. The factory does not have the capacity to manufacture ammunition for the AK-47, the most popular assault rifle in the region. https://africa-facts.org/african-countries-that-manufacture-some-of-their-own-weapons/ |

You must be an incorrigble idiot if you believe Innosen can manufacture even a bolt or a nut. I understand the pride & patriotic thing...but please if you want to talk about car manufacturing in Africa - start from South Africa, Morocco,Algeria, Egypt and land in Kenya.....not those idiots re-badging chinese cars and making you the butt of jokes. I mean if you issues that conman the certificate of origin you'd be damaging your country reputation - because other countries will demand to inspect it and it will never trust "Made in Nigeria". Okay what I am thinking...there is NO MADE IN NIGERIA thing anywhere.nwoke39: |

rvp2018:And for your info, Nnewi where his car manufacturing company is located is a huge car parts trading and manufacturing hub.. Everything from cables, car plastic, batteries, etc is made there..I don't want to be tribalistic here it's just that igbos are industrious.. the other tribes in Nigeria know this We had a horrible civil that made many igbos poor so they wen into trading, from trading they went into manufacturing.. Also while you're stressing on Innoson, He plans to also manufacture the engines in Nigera in the next 5 years(count from 2016) He also plans to go near 100% local content from the 60% he was doing in 2016 The Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Limited, Chief Innocent Chukwuma yesterday said the company will, in the next five years, commence local manufacture of vehicle engine to acheive [near] 100 per cent local content in the auto industry.Like I said even Innoson admits it. He manufactures some parts in Nigeria and gets the rest from abroad |
