Mikel outstanding..... If he is we are in for a rough night. Our players are playing with fear. The defenders are unsure of themselves hence booting the ball to Igahlo. The teams structure is weak and the players are not comfortable with it.

They are booting long balls because the midfield is not linking with the attack. The only true attacking midfielder there is Iwobi. The duo of Mikel and Ndidi are defensive hence the frequent back passing and sideways shanks.

Rohr is trying to implement a system that is not traditional to Nigeria and the truth is that we have never excelled with a system not Nigerian. That was why the early years of Westerhof were not enterprising until he rerurned and improved on our traditional 442 wing play system. Nigerian teams just donot play well with lone strikers and an abundance of defensive midfielders. It doesn't work for us.

My analysis so far...
-Our Right back Abdullahi is a waste of space.. Every croatian player beats him so easily, he lacks pace and positionally sense and still yet he wants to always join in d attack. Moses and Iwobi has had to do most of his defending..
-Ighalo is completely isolated... Moses is busy helping out Abdullahi, Mikel doesn't want d ball, Iwobi has had to try to take it upon himself to start attacks..
-Ndidi needs to do more to help Etebo in d middle..
-Mikel doesn't seem to understand what role he's playing
-Our boys need to stop throwing long balls to Ighalo, it's not working, hasn't worked, and doesn't look like it will work..

Etebo has been the best player from our side.. ALONGSIDE a workaholic ighalo despite not getting the right passes. He has managed to make the croatian defence feel some heat..
